F-Type SVR Discussion Thread

If its all carbon fiber and 2/3 of the weight with 620bhp it'd be worth it. 0-60 in 3.2? Yes please. Otherwise for $150k buy a 2nd hand Ferrari 458....

If it's power you love..
Just buy this:
http://m.racechip.com/chiptuning/jaguar/f-type/f-type/5-0-kompressor-364kw/index.php
Add some Michelin Pilot Super Sports - and you're likely to have a better looking car (I prefer the shark-gill brake inlets of the non-SVR F Types) - and if you've got some ***** and know how to drive - you can have a lighter one too (chiptune a RWD V8S without torque vectoring brakes).
If done to a convertible- I'd imagine that would be the purest drive the F Type could offer without major oily-bit work under bonnet.
Cheers,

Heres the direct link.
2016 Jaguar F-Type SVR testing on the Nurburgring - YouTube
This has a bigger spoiler than previous shots we saw. More like it!
Are those 21inch wheels?
Crossbar on grille still there praying they remove it before production. If so I'm all in.

That or maybe they'll just offer STO N SHO plates as a factory option!

From my 'research', and help me out here, the protrusion INTO the front bar is just a piece of foam, correct? So, theoretically, a more angled surround piece, coupled with a one piece grill, and removal of the foam will do the trick, aesthetically.
Not that I could do it, but for a more experienced composites man, that should be an afternoon? Maybe two? Point being, is there something I'm missing? I don't even have the car yet but if my assumptions are even close, there's no way that bar makes it to 2016.

If you look at the rear of the car, there's no "protection" back there, but it passes the std. because nothing major would be damaged even though there would be costly cosmetic damage.

Oh and cost wise it was about $3600 to do the mod last time we discussed it.
