Jaguar F-Type SVR
An interview on Top Gear with Jaguar SVO boss published yesterday. What's striking is the commentary about weight reduction. If they achieve the goal described here, then it will be a huge step forward from the current R.
That said, my enthusiasm is tempered by this youtube video. IMO the car doesn't look flat enough through the corners which suggests it is still heavy, and they still don't have active anti-roll bars or stiff enough anti roll bars.
Compare the jag footage to the latest 911 Turbo S testing here. Porsche seems to be noticeably flatter through the corners. Also seems quicker through the corners and on exit speed.

Talking of SVR cars in general, Edwards explains: “Our DNA is this. It must be lighter than the standard car, and more powerful. So it must have more performance. The aerodynamics will be better and the exterior design distinctive.”
Looks like the F-Type SVR will meet the brief. And if Edwards is serious about weight reduction, it’ll be lighter than a 911 Turbo S. We’ll know in the early part of next year.

Saw some new SVR pics

Base on the rumor that it's going to be $50k+ above the R price, I don't think it looks different enough. Hard to tell that it's an SVR vs R. Compare that to say a Black Series AMG vs non-Black Series, or a 911 GT3 vs a regular 911...

I personally don't like any of the exterior changes, except for the front bumper/splitter, which is a nice change. Nothing about this, other than the titanium exhaust really interests me. This may give people a nice warranty friendly option for suspension upgrades however.

I don't think the changes they made could justify that much of a price increase. Perhaps a $20k increase would be more reasonable.
That said, it doesn't really seem to be that much improved over the R. Just a few more horsepower and a little better suspension, both things that could be addressed in the aftermarket and then some. Outside of the titanium exhaust, which I doubt I would ever want to pay for, nothing intrigues me enough to justify the price.

+1 on the changes except for the fascia. Not a fan of the fender design and like the look of the Piecha wing spoiler much better.

I think the interior is the biggest improvement. Talk about upscale looking. The rest isn't as impressive. Not sure on the side vents yet. The front would look better without the middle bar. Undecided on the wing. Was expecting more in the power department, especially as tuners have shown how much room there is to grow.
I do want to see that interior in person.

Dumbing down rather than plushing up the interior would have been far more appealing. Eliminating all the electronic wizardry, servo driven gizmos and barcalounger chairs, while getting the weight below 3200 lbs (oh...and adding an MT) would have made it worth the additional $50k. (So sad that the marketing types have conditioned us to be willing to pay more for less)
