So, no never found out who the original dealer was.
Had second thoughts about the purchase after two days of sending in my check to finalize purchase..... and decided to stop the sale.
The dealer had already registered the car and sent in the title of ownership for transfer to me, so I have had to wait until I received the title back to reverse the sale which was completed today (2-11-2022).
The car is beautiful in new condition BUT was ordered new with the "Deployable Spoiler" in place of the "Carbon Fiber Rear Active Spoiler" and this I just could not convince myself to overlook not matter how much I tried.
I had not seen photos of the car before seeing and did not notice the lack of the spoiler until I had checked interior, rag top and paint. I almost stopped there but the car was so nice with all of the other options, I just ignored my reasoning until later, something I will never do that again.
So the dealer has it back on line for a bit more than I paid and I am back on the hunt for the F Type SVR that will check ALL of the boxes for me.

Good call! A proper SVR needs a wing. It looks so sad without one, like a cat with no tail…
If money is no object and you like that Black/Red spec, you could shell out the $12-15K or so to actually buy the carbon SVR wing and retrofit. Not advising you to actually do this, but figure I’d mention it given it’s not likely you’ll come across another Black and Red convertible.
SVR unicorn up for sale https://www.millermotorcars.com/2018...pe-svr-c-5584/
2018 F-Type SVR in British Racing Green.
There were only 2 2018 SVRs in BRG allocated to the US; this one and FeralSVRs. This was not a color option until 2019 so this had to be specially made/ordered through Jaguar SVO. Pic from listing are the only pics I have seen of this car since it was at dealer back in 2018. Rare color/spec/fully optioned/low miles. If I had $110k extra to spend on an F-Type this is the one I would get lol.
Corris grey 2019 SVR. Curious to see people thoughts on whether if it would be a good car to buy used.
Nothing that stands out from its history that I know of. The 5.0 are good engines. No major issues specially by the 2019 model. Most (all?!) the kinks had been worked out by then I think.
Came across this unicorn the other day. Listed currently for sale Ian Callum’s SVR. Spec’d with flat bottom steering wheel black CCB and the only F-Type with Ultra Blue interior. This is the first time I have ever seen detailed pics of the car’s interior. Wish this was a US spec car. That interior looks amazing. Here is the listing with a lot more pics https://www.sytner.co.uk/car-search/...-2dr-auto-awd/
I was looking at Ian Callum’s car on Autotrader this week. It’s up for £80k and is virtually the same age and mileage as my own SVR which I bought in December for £5k less than Ian’s.
Given the provenance and how likely this one will probably keep its value better due to its original owner, a £5k premium is probably not bad.
one question I do have is what colour is the car? Is it a factory grey or a one off from SVO?
Personally I prefer my Ultra Blue but would have loved the interior of mine to have had these seats!
maybe something I get done in the future!
Yep! That's Ian's car alright with the bespoke blue interior. JLR sent me a few snapshots of it when it was new when I was adding a flat bottom steering wheel on my SVR. According to JLR, Ian's F-Type was the only SVR at that time with a flat bottom steering wheel. My F-Type is the only other SVR on record with a factory installed flat bottom steering wheel.

Correct. Only yours and his SVR have the flat bottom steering wheel.
Boy you guys are smart! I learn something new everyday it seems.
Yes I just looked it up. It's German for a grayblack of variable intensity. Which makes perfect sense too.

Hi Ftyperegistry,
could you please tell me out of the 1870-ish SVR’s made how many of these were for the UK home market for each production year?
many thanks for your help.
👍
Ive just bought a SVR
UK car , #48491, just 11,000 miles. My driving licence has never been in so much danger ...... No bloody CD player and the awful jaguar incontinence connect.
F type svr shows 111 at peak now 101 with some shown as off road.
F type svr 4x4 shows 258 at peak .....
You get some idea of how many are on UK roads , 359 or so....
