F-Type SVR Reliability

F-Type SVR Reliability
Hi All,
I am looking to purchase an F-type SVR. My main concern however, is the reliability. I plan on daily driving the vehicle and I am hoping there are some owners in here with high milage F-type SVR or R's that can give me insight on their experiences so far.
Thanks in advance.

Correct. The reliability across the F-Type model range has shown to be consistent, that is very good reliabilty indeed. Most common problem areas (but not necessarily common): failing 02 sensors (which are covered by a 15 year warranty in Canada and the US), fuel injectors faults, leaking molded coolant pipes (rectified by 2018) and plastic cooling system hoses (narrow)…
With respect these issues, over a 5 year ownership period my F-Type my car has experienced only a fuel injector issue, easily rectified by my dealer. Otherwise, rock solid and an absolute joy to drive and to look at!
Important: these cars, like every modern luxury model, are simply stuffed with electronic modules, and all of them like full battery voltage all the time. When they are not properly fed, they misbehave in random and unexpected ways. The vast majority of complaints all come down to one thing: a battery not fully charged! Solution: easy: use a good battery maintainer always (the most popular choice is the CTEK brand)…the result if consistent use of a maintainer is a fully charged battery and no electrical/electronic problems.

I came from a 16 FTR and drove it to 88k miles (drive year round in the midwest 400 miles a week) with no issues other than the 02 and Cats replaced all under warranty at the time. I just switched in July to a 17 SVR and I am at 45k miles. 02 sensor is the only thing thus far that I have completed, other than new pads and rotors all the way around that were more for aesthetics for me. Tarox F2000 2 piece for front and one piece for rear, the car is amazing, comfortable and truly a pretty good MPG contender (avg 23mpg) given how I drive it like I stole it daily and rarely out of dynamic mode. These cars are beasts and in my opinion very well made to be a daily with a proper set of snow tires. I have never purchased the same car twice until I fell in love with the F Type in 2019.
