F-type v8 Coolant change - do it yourself
Hello, I looked everywhere on the internet and these forums to find out "how to" do your own coolant change on these cars, but yet haven't found one article to show it. This would be a coolant change, not a flush. I have a 2014 v8 with 31 k miles. I did an oil change with my Mityvac fluid evacuator and it was by far the easiest oil change I've done from the many vehicles I changed (I also evacuated exactly 7.25 liters of oil).
I have a coolant fill vacuum refill kit that works on my other vehicles. I know there are at least two drain plugs somewhere, but there are no procedure and steps involved. Any help would be greatly appreciated by me and all others that don't want to spend over $200 or more on the dealer doing a half@ job.
Thanks!

This may be some use to you although after posting I realised it's for XF.
I have attached a link to the full F Type workshop manual, which was uploaded by one if our members, which will have details specifically for your F Type F Type Jaguar workshop manual
Each owner will have their own opinion on maintenance frequency with many enthusiasts on these forums wanting to be more conservative and change fluids more frequently than the manufacturers recommendation. Jaguar recommendation for engine coolant change interval is ten years or 150,000 miles

Steve,
I wouldn't sweat finding the block drain, unless for some reason (wrong coolant?) you need to change ALL the coolant in the system.
With today's coolants, just draining the radiator and refilling will provide ample protection. Buildup in the capillary tubes is MUCH less of an issue than in days of yore.
That said, if you do only a partial 10 year/160,000 mile replacement, you should do the coolant 'refresh' more often. We will do ours every 5 - 6 years after the one we just had performed, as part of the aluminum pipe upgrade.

the drain plug is located on the (left) driver side of the engine beside cylinder #8.
It's a big plug with a inner 16mm ? hexagon socket if I remember correctly.
You have to remove the oilpan undertray to get access to it.
The plug is sealed by a combined metal/rubber washer which should be renewed
after draining the fluid.
