You failed to mention that that wagon has 577hp.

Not sure most people would buy a Ftype for drag racing, its more the overall handling and beauty.. interesting video comparison though.
I would suspect the R would beat the Station wagon.

I wonder if the f type driver just hit the gas in automatic mode instead of paddle shifting (hopefully he had sport mode and dynamic mode on at least).

Porsche kind of got short changed by this contest. Why didn't they include the 911 Turbo instead of the 911c?

That Aston Martin Vanquish is pretty slow for that kind of price, although I guess it's more of a GT car. As for the station wagon beating the F Type, no shame in that. The E63 S is a monster, in sedan or wagon form. I'd take the SLS black series out of all of them for sure.

I think he did everything right. The V8S is a 12 second car and he did 12.1 seconds. Would be hard to beat that time by more than a couple 10ths even with the best of drivers.

The F Type didn't do badly. It basically finished 6th out of 12 cars, tied with the BMW M6.

I never understood the fascination with Ast. Martin, although I hear they're putting a new 580hp engine in the Vanquish to boost its performance.

I had an E63 wagon- the rear weight bias really helps from a dig and the hp/tq of the M157 TT engine is very impressive stock- try it with a tune and its rather formidable.

Where is my Turbo S

One member here has posted times of 11.7 to 11.9 if I remember correctly. There are timer slips with these times on drag times.com as well. As always, though, it's going to depend on the driver/conditions.

BTW, this drag race was from the Motor Trend Best Driver's Car 2013. The Jag placed 4th, not bad!
