Yes, but it needs some custom software that does not exist in a standard SDD.

Some instructions for CCF/SDD editing could be really useful... changing CCF_VIDEO_DISPLAY_INHIBIT parameter doesn't enable video in motion (tried that yesterday) ... what else needs to be done to enable video in motion? I can change any values in CCF, but would love to get some hints...looks like changes need to be made in several places to unlock video in motion and there are thousands of lines in xml CCF file.

There is an interesting parameter in CCF "VAS sensor override" - any ideas if it is related to Video in motion?

Those folks smart enough to enable in-motion video, are smart enough not to.

don't worry this is more of applied computer science project rather than anything else, i.e. not going to watch the damn 8 inch screen going on a highway.... call it working from home syndrom, if you like. but one thing is clear is once you fall out of BMW world, coding/hacking becomes really difficult, just not enough critical mass to push things though. Prove me wrong on this one!

That challenge is not limited to coding/hacking in the F-Type. The development of any aftermarket product For the car faces an uphill climb for the same reason.

The solution I use from Unique Auto Developments that enables Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, allows for any video input used on that system to play while in motion. Where I see a real value for this is to take a front facing camera installed in the grill to help with visibility when parking. You'd be able to connect a video input to the box and then select this from their user interface.

i tried a dvd ages ago and it was really grainy, but i wonder now if that is the dvd player and not necessarily the screen
