There's recently been a number of 2022 C8s popping up on BaT, and it's hard not to speculate why. "Flippers", or they didn't like it and want out.... or... their interest is now fixated on the Next Shiny Thing, the Z06. Not sure how someone always chasing "the latest" can ever be happy, but I digress.

Saw an article this morning that GM is changing the Warranty for C8 Z06, Hummer EV and one other car to discourage flippers and states that if its sold within a year that the Warranty is non-transferrable.

I was pissed. If I had wanted to pay 20k over sticker I could have bought one a year earlier when I placed the order. That dealer was a total crook. Anyway, it all worked out for the best as I would not have been as happy with the "base" 2LT C8 as my SVR AND I would have been jealous of the Z06 C8s anyway. This has been a problem and both GM and Ford sent letters warning their dealerships not to do this practice or risk getting denied allocations:

Apparently dealers are still doing this all across the U.S. And it's not just the C8 Corvette, I have heard of Ford dealers doing it on the Mach 1 and prior to that, the GT500. And now I am hearing the same thing about Cadillac dealers on the CT5V Blackwing. When will this ever end?... Probably not until we get a new administration in office and the automakers have to build what the market wants rather than what the EPA / CAFE regulations are forcing on us with this electric car BS and ridiculous MPG standards for fleets.

It'd stop overnight if people refused to pay more than list. Buyers are fueling the practice.
