I did a lot more searching since I posted to the forum and still can not find a place to purchase or otherwise get a service manual. Don't tell me there is no manual for this car....? I'd settle for detailed wiring diagrams if nothing else.

www.factory-manuals.com

Their website does not show Jag manuals, but he does do them. There are no printed manuals produced. Even the dealers look the info up online on topix. These folks have an automated bot of some sort to take and compile all of the sections of the factory instructions specific to your VIN. Mostly depending on your transmission, you will get a single .pdf ranging from 10,000 to 16,000 pages. The $80 cost is a great value.

Yep, I got the Workshop Manual for my S coupe from this mob and it's come in very handy plenty of times already.

Speaking of topix, I tried to register on topix, and confirmed my email address as instructed, then when I sign it it fails. Does topix work for 'normal' people or only dealers?

If I can't use topix I can try www.factory-manuals.com -- thanks for the link!

Do all the links work in the manual. I have bought other huge pdf manuals and they were all indexed hotlinked very nicely.

Topix works for everyone if you register. However, only the most basic info is free. You can subscribe for 15 minutes, 1hour , one day, etc. to get at the technical info, but it would take a week or more to download thousands of sections as they are offered up only as separate pdf files. The factory=manuals offering is the only way to go. Yes, their pdf is linked very nicely, so it is easy to find things. The entire manual is also searchable.

www.factory-manuals.com said they do not do Jaguar any more.

Anyone have any other ideas? I have no idea what to do now...

Well I can try signing up for topix and doing the work that factory-manuals used to do..... but I would rather avoid that if possible.

I don't suppose someone here who already has the manual is willing to work something out? If that question is not allowed, my apologies.

I would help you if I could, but having looked closely at my manual it is very specific to my V6 model and it has nothing in it about the V8 engine, and seeing as the engine is the heart of the car I doubt a V6 manual would be much use to you.
