Default Finally...2015 F-Type R and 2015 V8 S Production Numbers

Here's the culmination of years of collecting the F-Type R and V8 S production numbers. I know many on the forums and elsewhere have reached out and asked for the info but I never wanted to commit since I was not sure if I was ever going to finish it. I had to go through about half of the 2015 production VIN range to track down all the pre-production manual F-Types so I decided to go ahead and do the rest of the 2015 VINs and get the R and V8S data. I have been chipping at that task on and off for quite some time. Honestly took longer than I thought since I would sometime go months without working on it. Plus there are a lot more than myself or anyone else thought. Estimates on the forum were about 900-1000 F-Type Rs for the US, but even my guess of about 1200 was off. Total 2015 F-Type Rs made for the US are 1364
Here are the worldwide numbers
2015 F-Type R - 2891
2015 F-Type V8S - 862

See attached chart for breakdown.

Really? You’re in the minority, most on here thought there were less than 1k that came to the US. What was your guess?

About double those numbers, which is still a fraction of 911s produced (or cayman, or boxsters) for that year.

Yes. I have most of the color data specially for US But I have to clean it up and make sure it’s accurate. For 2015 Jaguar OSH lists some colors as Not Present unfortunately so might have to get Topix subscription to complete it. Once I have that I will do a breakdown of colors.

Lol no. . Some have asked the same thing for the SVR/Manual but the effort in Gathering all the different data would be enormous. Like 10x the effort/time due to all the extra clicking one would have to do in Topix or when looking at vehicle info posted online. The most efficient way to do it would be to take 2 different sets 100 F-Type R VINs across the range look the build info up in Topix, record it,then go off those percentages. That should get you a ball park figure very very close

From the chart (although not mentioned) can we assume that the cars for Canada are in in Rest-of-World number?

yeah, I figured that much. since my time here on this forum, I think I've only read of maybe up to 4 other members that have the suede pack...so I know it's a very very small percentage of us with it.

Without me knowing how this data is collected and what goes into it (meaning I don't know how it all gets counted)...how likely is it that your final tally is correct? Is there an estimated +/- threshold or do you think your #'s are spot on? Thanks for your work on this info btw.

My numbers are most likely spot on. I have done the same for SVR, Project 7,Manuals,400 Sport and BDE trims. Previous numbers I have provided have been verified by people working for Jaguar or figures others on this forum have obtained from Jaguar. I go through the entire VIN range and get the details from Topix/OSH which are Jaguar’s customer system for vehicle info. Could I have missed 1 or 2? Maybe, but not likely, specially since I did it sequentially and very slowly. Sometimes only 10-20 VINs per day.

@Ftyperegistry Do you have data for how many 2015 F-Type R coupes in Firesand were produced for USA and/or total?

This thread is specifically about 2015 models, though.
