Quicksilver just came out with the first and only aftermarket exhaust for the V6. I had Quicksilvers on my Maserati Gransport and DB9 and got tons of compliments. I will be ordering one tomor. I don't think the sound clip on their site captures the sound the way is will really sound, except for the crazy high pitched sound at the 40 to 43 second mark. That sounds awesome to me. There will not be many cars on the road with this type of sound.

All you'd be getting by swapping the OEM (non-active) sport exhaust for the Quicksilver is the choice between loud and way loud. For the umpteenth time here, the base exhaust is considerably louder than active-exhaust switched off because it is open all the time.
On another topic, it was interesting to see the OEM decibel readings for active on vs. off on the Quicksilver site. Their claimed numbers show relatively small differences between on and off. According to Quicksilver, their's is crazy louder than even active on. That would be hard to live with as a daily driver.
And yes, I know that the decibel scale is logarithmic.

The Quicksilver has a smaller resonator and will give a more deeper sound which registers higher on a decibel scale. The reason Jaguar got their exhaust through all the noise emission regulations is because it is relatively high as are Ferraris etc.
I would also not give up the capability of switching the exhaust. With an after market exhaust and more boomier sound you also always run the risk of drone. Of course not so much in a convertible where the convertible top ends well before the exhaust muffler/resonator.
I am still working on my XKR-S exhaust and will be visiting my exhaust place today. however once everything is figured out and straight I will most likely get high flow CATs for the F-Type to give it more deeper sound and with the stock muffler there is no drone.

Initially I was hellbent on finding a car with the "switchable active exhaust" but after hearing the base sport exhaust, I was perfectly happy with the amount of raucous it made.

Where they have valves that open and close, the base is open all the time on the same pipes. They do have an extra J-pipe that is open but it goes into the muffler case with no direct outlet.
I've posted a V6 muffler cutaway picture here a couple of times, but I don't have it available on my iPad.

I emailed Quicksilver earlier today specifically asking about the lack of pops and crackles in their video posted. This was a portion of their response...
"All of the OE sounds, including the pop/crackle remains and is amplified by the Quicksilver system. Where the OE pop/crackle could be described as hollow before, the system now offers greater depth, volume and character".
