Finally spacers aka adapters on my lowered F Type R- Pics
Well its been a little bit of an issue getting the proper spacers/adapters for the coupe which runs a slightly (ever so) larger center bore than the pre made spacers for other Jaguar cars. The standard center bore I would find from H&R or Arden is 63.3mm which is not correct for the F Type. We need a 63.4mm and no one seemed to have these over the shelf so I went to Motorsport-tech and had them made. I used adapters versus spacers since there wasn't enough factory thread for a spacer sleeve. The adapters I installed are 15mm all the way around and the car looks much better in person, especially with the drop. The whole process to get the adapters made was about 4 business days from order to delivery.

I took the car several times over 130mph on short bursts and cruised through normal mph ranges to confirm no vibration or anomalies and no rubbing even with the drop. The only thing, which was expected, was the factory studs would extend out past the 15mm adapter and touch the rear of the wheels. They did by about 2mm so shaving was the trick. This was NO big deal as no threads were cut, just the stubs post threads. This process is very easy and most wheel shops can do it easily.

Thanks to all for the kind words... Im glad the adapters worked out.
While the Jag may sound much better; the RS7 has a GIAC tune and is blistering fast for a 4 door car weighing almost 4500 lbs. The RS7 is easily faster from a dig stock or modded and from a roll its probably a little faster (my Jag is tuned). A few cars with the tune (RS7) are running high 10's at the track and trapping circa 130 mph. And with that being said, speed is only a part of the experience and Id rather drive the F Type if I had to choose.

Thank you and yes Ill PM you if/when that time comes. Normally I get tired of cars around 6-9 months but I have a feeling this one is going to make it to a birthday

A question fellas...I plan on going to a 305. Can I still use the spacers or not?
I just took a good look at my car: lowered with the 295's and 15mm spacers... I think you might be pushing it with 305's as the tire will come out further and the rear fenders are NOT rolled. If you roll them then you will be golden. If you don't lower but use the 15mm spacers I would guess you would have enough vertical travel with the shocks to avoid any rubbing. I would get a professional shop to roll the fenders.
Might not exactly fit into the quantity purchase concept I was thinking, but I'm sure I could convince them to include a discount for orders this brings them that they might not get otherwise.

I think you saw my response to this in the other thread. There really wasnt any other spring company out there and H&R actually mislabeled theirs and pulled back on their issuance (see my thread on my car being lowered).
Search my name for posts started by Vic55 and you will find the lowering thread and all my thoughts if you need more details.
The short and skinny: the springs are great and there is minimal sacrifice in ride quality for the form change.

FYI I thought the following photo, from another thread, was pretty helpful for seeing what the wheel stance is without spacers on a dark F-type.

I agree that spacers will make this look better and less mushroom-like (that's a technical term), particularly for the rear wheels.
