Today one guy put the new R replacement P575 on display, and how you can see, we are about 40000 Euro higher as last V8 P551 sales.
If this is the general price politics of Jaguar, we will not see a lot on the street. And they are still in Europe Union. So no customers for the moment,
what could still increase the price.
Nobody buys those cars in Germany, we all lease them as Jaguar has extremely good rates here compared to the usual German brands, especially as an enterpriser.
@Falkenhayn
Thanks for the info ! This explains why on the turn of the year so many new 'approved used' appear on the German sites...
I have been thinking of importing a car to replace my LR Discovery 3. The D5 are relatively cheap compared to prices in NL.
But the last few months some NL cars appear on the market and now prices drop quickly.
I bought the F-Pace since the D5 makes no sense for the size now our kids are leaving and we do not move the horses around anymore [ retired ].
But I do really mis my Land Rover Discovery 3.. .. the only car I ever kept for ten years.. Most cars are gone within two years..
But they raised the annual roadtax for it from € 3000 to € 3500 and that was just too much : we did 3000km pa in the Netherlands with it..
..and about 15.000km in the rest of europe...
As I was buying my vert 2020 in early november, and in panic (For you eyes only) after seeing the first nacked face in the form of illuminated headlights on the Nürburgring, I was not thinking about money. Now if I compare, the 24PS less under my feet, means some lines of software, will pay a brand new VW T-Roc for one of the kids. CRAZY.
@Cleantex
I do appologise, but I cannot follow what you write. Would you mind to pm me this German please ?
It's easy. The F-Type convertible was on my shopping list. And as they tested the 2021 facelift at this famous session on the Nürburgring, they must turn on the headlights and for the first time everybody could see how they looked under the Zebra skin. My last chance to buy a new from the year before.
Man....I cannot get on board with those new headlights. Just ruins the exotic look
Really did screw up the design flow of headlights/fenders/hood/bumper.
Hate those black moldings around the gills too--also an unnecessary break in the design flow IMO.

I am with you but....
We were conditioned to like big housing assemblies for lighting. It symbolized advanced optics.
Advanced optic today are a fraction of the size, not unlike small flashlights.
Soon the advanced look will be the tiny headlights- and form must follow function, especially with safety, in an accident that assembly becomes a projectile, larger it is the more visible road rash looks on it.

Yes, but some upper class sportcars arrive to keep the look and personality alive, even when they are owned by Volkswagen.
Looks, like taste, are an individual thing. Some people like green beans, some like corn. That’s why some people like lowered Honda Civics with huge wings in the back.
I happen to think all 3 variations of the headlights look appropriate for the car. I own a 2018 but I’d drive any year. Car is still beautiful.

Yeah they were already ahead years ago. Look how discrete those headlights look on the Lambo.
Or look here, Ferrari and Lambo both have narrow headlights.
We can agree that its the way everyone is going. Yes the Ftype does look like an afterthought- because it is. What would you prefer, a completely new car that makes your car obsolete, but they keep the old style lights.
