First time with an F-Type impressions

First post. I bought a 20K mile 2015 F-Type R yesterday. As context, I'm a huge 911 nut, I think I've had over 12 of them. Also FCars and a Z06 but Pcars are always what I end up with. At any rate, I was looking for a driver and wanted a V-8 or maybe an M4. I didn't want AWD and I needed something that was fairly comfortable on the road. I drove the F-type and really liked it. Kind of a muscle car with good build quality and manners. Low 60's price and bumper to bumper warranty until 2021.
A few impressions coming more from the German world-
I read all the stuff about the RWD R's being tail happy, noisy and so on. After driving it, I think that's pretty over blown. From a power standpoint there's plenty but it's so smooth it's controllable. Much different than the Z06 I had with run flats that was a trip hammer at the limits. From an exhaust standpoint, if the baffles are closed it's not a big deal. Not nearly as loud as a stock 430 I had or some of the modded PCars. I love the V8 but I still the best sound is a Porsche at full wail. Down low, the R wins hand down.
+'s
- Really solid. One of the stiffest bodies I've driven.
- Great ride on the highway. Really not much firmer than an SL550 when in comfort mode.
-I really like the transmission. It's plenty quick enough for a car that's not a track car and very smooth.
-Really nice engine. Good smooth power every where.
-Simple maint schedule.
-Crazy good dealer experience.
- Not finicky. I'm sure you can get a bad one but I pulled dealer service records on 3 of them and they were all largely unremarkable.
-'s
- It's not a sports car like a Carrera if that's what you expect. More GT than track car.
-Visibility is bad compared to many but I knew that going in.
-The sound system isn't naturally good. You really have to screw around with it to get the setting right.
-Even in RWD it still carries too much weight on the front but not bad.
Net, super happy with the car. Fun to drive when you want it to be, docile when you don't. Just what the Dr. ordered.

Thank you. I stayed for Irma and I'm not sure I'd put it on my list of fun things to do.
Really enjoying the car. It hits the spot.
I continue to be please with how solid it is and I'm learning more of the nuances of how to personalize it.
Other than Land Rovers, this is the first British car I've own. Not many quirky things about them any more.

Don't suppose the Dr. that ordered was Dr. Porsche? Glad you are enjoying your F-Type. My 911 friends are regularly trading off with me now that they have had a chance to try my 'little Jag'. They won't swap out, but don't mind an occasional change of scenery.
We road out Irma over here also. Almost came over your way. Glad we didn't. Just goes to prove you don't predict Mother Nature.

I drove the F-type close to 1000 miles this weekend. Good mix of expressway and 2 lane road from Ft Lauderdale to the North Central part of the state. The car continues to work great. A few things that have come up:
- I'm shocked at the HWY mileage. 26MPG cruising at 80-85MPH. Didn't believe the trip computer but it cross checked with a manual calculation.
- The stereo needs some help. I'm going to try the TSB.
- Very steady at very high speeds.
-The P Zeros may not be the ticket on the track but they are awesome in the rain. I was in some downpours.
- I'm having the wheels redone in a dark grey metal flake with clear coat.
On the road, it's no more dramatic or darty than an SL550.
Fun Car.
