Finally had the opportunity to take my F Type to a track day and I had a blast. I ran with the local Porsche club at Putnam Park, a club track west of Indianapolis. The track is only 1.78 miles long but has a little elevation change and just enough variation in corners to be challenging and fun. Plenty of runoff at all but one corner also makes it less stressful. I'm happy to report that the Jaguar held its own and ran well all day. Here are some highlights, for what it's worth:
Weather - high temp of 82F in the afternoon with full sunshine. Track temp ~120F. Grip definitely went down in the heat of the day.
Brakes - OEM pads and rotors; Motul RBF 600 fluid (fresh this spring); Car stopped well and no fading in the 20-minute sessions. Brakes were definitely getting warm at the end of each session. On my last run I checked rotor temps after a cool-down lap and debrief with my instructor. Front rotors were ~420F and rears ~350F.
Tires - Michelin Pilot Sport 4S - 265/35R20 fronts, 305/30R20 rears. Wear was better than I expected. Had some light feathering on the outer tread blocks, but nothing concerning. Still had 7 to 8 32nds of tread across all four tires after the day of running (1/32 of wear for the day).
Tire pressures - I used the dash display to monitor tire pressures during each session. Optimum grip seemed to occur in the 34-37 psi range. Track is predominantly right hand turns, so cold starting pressures were 31 psi left and 32 psi right. I waited until pressures were at least 33 psi before really getting after it. By the end of my fastest session, the hot pressures were 39 left and 38 right. Grip started to fall off at the end of the session as tire temps and pressures went up.
Overall the car did very well. The Velocity AP stage 2 power is impressive and surprised quite a few people. The car is heavy and has a fair amount of body roll, so smooth inputs and keeping up momentum were key. I'm already looking forward to getting back to the track in the spring.
Track Addict is a great app to monitor driving and performance. I probably need to get an external GPS unit to improve the accuracy for the next time.

See in one of your pics the outside temp was mid 60's, so what type of tire were you using?
And did you go that far off the track or was that just GPS being GPS?
BTW: That looks like a lot of fun, once I get my car squared away, I am going to track it hopefully at Daytona or Sebring.

Temp was actually 85F in that photo (last run of the day and hottest ambient and track temps). Tires were Pilot Sport 4S. Had definite GPS drift that makes it look like I was driving off track. May go with an external GPS unit in the future to address that issue.
I find it amusing that we both picked "71" as our number
But yes, agree on all of your findings including the body roll. I'm contemplating going to the wider tires in the front and back.
