Ford GT produces 600hp in a turbo V6

the videos in the link above will impress anyone who has some knowledge of aerodynamics. It appears that the design is 99% purpose built, world-class track car aimed at beating the best, with some homage paid to the original GT40. The coefficient of drag will be minuscule and downforce tremendous.
Anyway, I like the car much more after looking at the video. The stills seem to highlight sharp edges and vertices but the videos show the car has better visual flow than the stills.

What was wrong with the old GT? I thought it drove rather well. Steering was good, and it didn't beat you up too bad driving over what Dearborn amusingly calls 'roads'. Other than the complete lack of rear visibility, I liked it.
Does the new concept actually drive under its own power (other than up the ramp at the auto show)? It does not appear to have room for a rear suspension.

As I said above, I think the only reason Ford is planning to do this car is to go racing on the world stage.
