Ftype base cruise retro fit

![Question](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Hi all, I’m new to the forum, I have a base spec 2016 65 plate convertible, and wondered if anyone has been successful in upgrading to include cruise control.
i did retro fit a discovery 3 a few years back by adding the switch pack and getting someone to update the body control module.
just wanted to know if it’s been done on the ftype.
Thanks in advance

It looks like Harribo is correct and you could get a base without CC, see this old thread on another forum: https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1248
Based on that thread it looks like it is the same as many F-Type retrofits - possible but difficult and expensive!

It is germane to note that Jaguars for different markets are equipped at base level with different features...and this has always been the practice at Jaguar. The cars to Canada and the US are generally equipped with more features as standard than those for other markets, and cars for Canada generally with more features than base-level cars for the US. I could cite examples reaching back as far as the 60's of the last century ...OK, here is just one: the beautiful Mk 2 of the 60's -known as the "3.8" in the US - came to Canada with Fog Ranger lights as standard equipment, but not so in the US, and they also had the front and rear amber turn signals, also not fitted to US cars...another one: the base-level X-Type of the early 2000's in the US did not have wood trim on the doors; in Canada the base-level car had full wood trim and other features...similar statements can be made for every Jaguar model through the years, the point being that while most of us have not seen a "stripped down" version of the F-Type, they do exist for certain markets, the U.K. being one.

I've been shopping for a flat-bottomed steering wheel for a couple of years now and every single advertised F-Type steering wheel I have ever seen has the CC buttons.
