Full Throttle at Start Question

Does anyone know if putting your foot to the floor and then trying to start the engine will keep the engine form starting and just allow it to crank over? My F150 behaves this way and I like to do that procedure right after an oil change to fill the new oil filter and "charge" the oil system. I'm taking my F-Type out of storage this weekend after sitting since early November and want to get a couple of cranks out of the engine to get oil pressure before starting it. I could always pull the fuel pump fuse too, but this would just be easier.

That's interesting, on the XK8/XK/XKR flooring the throttle and cranking was the way to clear flooding after shutting down the engine too quickly after starting. Wonder why they changed it for the F-Type.
Checking my handbook I see the procedure for starting "if the engine fails to start" includes the instructions:
5. Slowly press the accelerator pedal and hold it in the fully pressed position.
6. Press and release the engine START/STOP button. The engine begins to crank
7. Release the accelerator pedal when the engine starts.
So looks a bit like the "engine flooded" start procedure on my previous Jags.
