Garage Queen Tactics and Strategies

Garage Queen Tactics and Strategies
You've all seen the 'never driven in the rain' ads. People pamper the cars they really care about; some would never daily drive such a car.
In Portland, over the last few days due to ash/soot on the roads from the Eagle Creek and other fires I kept the F-Type tucked away.
I also hate parking her out 'there' in the harsh world - not so much rain, but 85f+ days. Always thought heat/sun ages a car more than rain every will.
Car cover, of course .
I really, really love this car and enjoy it more when it is a special treat to drive it, not all the time (have second vehicle).
Anyone else keep their cars out of the sun, the dirt ... in the garage??

Funny, I'd rather park in the sun vs. deal with tree sap. I do aim the windshield North if possible so the tinted windows do best at keeping the car cooler. I never, ever cover a nice car outside. Even the very best cover will get dust / grime on the inside and attack the finish.
Also top down vs. up, for the life of me I can't imagine why you would want to leave it down. Seen too many interiors get wrecked from the top being down. Rain, UV, bird crap, jealous passers by etc.

Don't let anyone make you feel bad about looking after your car; I've had the privilege of owning a few classic cars that were in incredible shape due to the foresight of their previous owners.
I drive my F Type hard on occasion but I don't drive it in the winter, on dirt roads and keep it in a heated garage. Unlike some cars I've owned, I will drive it in the rain but probably wouldn't take it out if it was pouring before I left.
Cheers,
Dave

Driving in scorching weather - not a problem. Air blowing over the car, inside has AC on.
It is leaving a nice car out in 100f+ degree heat all day that is a no go. Interior ages at a 100x rate, etc. Short term only.
Speaking of that, ash gone 95% from the pesty forest fires here. Temp about 73. I am now green lighting a drive - .
This is all in good fun. I am really not a priss about the car as much as it sounds that way.
