I am about to redo whole interior in alcantara.
Can anybody explain me how to remove it or at least disassemble just for retrim purposes?

Mucha appreciated.

The main pictures needed in Rock's post are 2,3, and 5. Move the seats forward and pull off the trim in picture 2. like the picture there is a hook facing forward, located where your elbow rests on that side trim. Disconnect the battery. Gently pull up the trim in picture 3, disconnect the lighter and start button. Pull off the trim surrounding the temperature control (so you don't scratch it). There are only 4 torx, two on each side that, hold the whole shifter/radio button/exhaust button and dynamic button, et al. Gently with force, pull up and forward. It will seem it is catching on something toward the back. There is a plastic "ear" on each side toward the back torx screw that "holds" it down. The TCS (actual shifter in picture 1) is screwed to the whole assembly and doesn't need removed.

What if...I just want to replace leather cover (with Alcantara) of the gear selector without removing center console and the whole mechanism?
