Genuine Black badges are available?
Hi guys.
Saw that 2021 F-type comes with black badges at the rear side.
When do you think it's available?
I'd like to change mine chrome one into black one.
I 've been trying to check on ebay and found some being sold from China.
That isn't reliable.
If you already had an experiance and that was satisfoctory, please share me the link to buy them.
Thank you !!

Or else you can do what I did, at least for the leaper, no waiting and negligible cost - paint the badge yourself!
I didn't paint any lettering, instead I completely removed all the lettering - F-Type, Jaguar and S badge.
But some time later I added a black and chrome "450" badge where the S used to be:
As well as painting the leaper black I moved it down about 2 cm so it was more central, but I couldn't go any lower to get it dead centre and still cover the mounting holes.
There are two mounting holes plus a third indentation (no idea what it is for) in the spoiler lid, into which two prongs on the back of the leaper go.
I simply cut those prongs off with a sharp knife, the leaper and the prongs are ABS plastic. If you are happy to leave the leaper in it's original position then no need to cut the prongs off but you still need to remove it before you can paint it cleanly. A bit of heat from a hairdryer and some fishing line or dental floss "sawing" through the adhesive from behind and it comes off. Saw from each end but stop when you hit the mounting prongs then it pulls off easily.
I cleaned up the leaper and spray painted it with some left over gloss black caliper paint (in a spray can), three thin coats, making sure to angle in around the edges as well. I then stuck it back on with black RTV silicone adhesive, making sure not to get much squishing out the sides (just a thin coat is all you need). Clean up any excess adhesive with turps, making sure not to move the leaper.
It came out great, looks "factory", and hasn't deteriorated one bit in the two plus years it's been on.

I bought the same one (in black) a few years ago.
Solid metal and reasonable quality but right there is the reason why it won't work - the OEM leaper is slightly curved (up in the middle / down at the ends) to fit the curve of the spoiler, but these solid metal ones are dead flat and do not bend.
Believe me I tried to bend it to shape but it didn't move a micron, I could have put it in a vice and/or applied much more pressure but I was sure doing this would damage it or even snap it in half.

I also tried an ebay black version but didnt use it anyway because the leapers are skinnier than the OEM so the cat looks malnourished.
I got a black "S" badge but it kept falling off before the silicone would set and in the end I couldnt be bothered continuing, my car now only has the leaper as God (and Ian Callum) intended

Thansk Oz.
I am also thinking abat what you did, re-painting it.
But I tried this my previous car, mercedes amg cla45 , and I failed.
Paint quality wasn't good enough to satisty myself in conclusion, It cost double for me as I should buy another badges.
Which is what I am thinking about black oem badges.
Or else, with what you painted it? I know 3m black coat works very fine but it is matt black finish while I want it in gloss black.
any recommandation?

Correct.
I have used caliper paint for all sorts of things and it is great - easy to apply, goes on nice and smooth, dries quickly, unaffected by heat or rain or dirt etc, and lasts forever with zero deterioration.

Well, you better count your beans as your math is off, and review your geography and history. As of may 1945 the Netherlands are no part of Germany anymore..
Obviously you are a millennial..

A bit "off-topic" , but a needed lesson in history..
Some time ago the Dutch King ruled over the UK and Ireland too..
But we didn't occupy Luxembourg. There had been a peace conference and there it was decided to create a buffer between Germany, France and England.
And so what is at present time know as the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, Belgium, a vast area around Calais, and a part of the Elsas were one country.
That is not equal to 'occupied' as we didn't send armies to invade. We were invited since we had great military minds amongst our lines..
"..At the Congress of Vienna the victorious powers, aiming to create a strong buffer state against any further French aggression, agreed to Britain's proposal
for a Kingdom of the Netherlands under William I of Orange, uniting Holland and Belgium and part of Luxembourg.** Neither the Dutch nor the Belgians were
very keen on this union. The Dutch rather despised the subservient attitude of their neighbours in the last two centuries, while Catholic Belgium was unhappy
at being joined to Calvinist Holland. However, William undertook to give full civil and religious freedom to all his subjects, and the union made economic sense.
William in fact did much to foster Belgian industry, and for a time it seemed that the forced alliance of the two countries might work. *Liege for many centuries
was an independent ecclesiastical principality. In the 1790s its citizens took a prominent part in welcoming the French revolutionaries, and evicted the last
Prince- Bishop. In 1795 it was amalgamated to Belgium by the French..."
In reality, part of your country is still under Belgium occupation. We didn't occupy Luxembourg, but you rebelled against the authorities.. ..good for you if you
consider what the mess the Netherlands make of the 'trias politica' today. We are ruled by anarchists judges who reached key-positions in the courts ;
all courts...
"..In the Belgian revolt against Dutch rule (Chapter 11) most of Luxembourg sided with the Belgians; and by the Treaty of London in 1839 which confirmed Belgian
independence more than half of Luxembourg went to Belgium. The rest, remained a Grand Duchy with the King of Holland as Grand Duke..."
You can read it all - also the history of Luxembourg - in the paper I found, from a graduate student at Stanford :

In 1667 the Royal Dutch Navy sailed to Chatham for the Raid on Medway. Our Admiral Michiel de Ruyter bombed Sheerness, sailed the Thames to Gravesand to the navy shipyards, by the Medway river to Chatham.
The majority of the English fleet was sunk in the harbour. We towed the HMS Unity and the HMS Royal Charles [ Fleet flaggship ] back to the Netherlands. The biggest defeat for the English Royal Navy ever.
The English were sore losers. Since then the English introduced many derogatary expressions like "Dutch courage" , " Dutch treat " and so on, as a compensation for there lost sense of superiority I guess..
