I became a JCNA member on Jan. 2017 because I want to take advantage of the membership rebate. For this reason, I need to take delivery of the car no earlier than June of 2017. Based on this, when should I place my order with the dealership. I don't know how long it takes for the car to arrive from the UK. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks .

 

There is more to it than just order time. It depends on your dealers allocations. If its a small dealer and he's already used his allocations (unlikely) you could order now and not take delivery until September...

A high volume dealer will have more allocations and usually can deliver a car to a customer quicker (everything else being equal)

Isn't it approx 3 months give or take ?

 

Unless you're Stohlen, or your ship sinks on it's way here from the UK, or your car get's lost, or left at port for MONTHS...

It took almost 5 months for my car to get here. Granted, I ordered the car from a fairly small dealer and they did not modify an existing allocation for me....

 

I just might place order in Feb. Just to be safe for June delivery .

 

That would ensure you get it before mid-June, but if it arrives mid-May, you jeopardize the JCNA incentive. Ordering it in March gets it to you in June or July.

EDIT: Rereading your first post, you can't take delivery until sometime in July if you want the incentive.

 

June is the 6 month point, no good ???

 

For example: January 5 + 6 months = July 5.
