Default Good Bye 991, Hello F-Type R (Golf Cart Question)

Picking up an F-Type R this weekend! Coming from a 2013 911 (991) Carrera 2 (non-S). Should be fun. The 911 is a precision, German-engineered machine. But unless I was revving it to 6+ RPMs it was rather boring/tamed. Really wanted a GT3 or Turbo but couldn't justify the price (especially with the $20K markup on the GT3s). A Carrera S w/ Powerkit would have been a nice upgrade from the non-S but it felt too incremental of an move for $30K. And that's how I ended up getting the R!

Now, one thing I did love about the 911 was practicality. The front boot is surprisingly roomy. I play a lot of golf and able to fit a Clicgear folding push cart easily in the front boot with room to spare for shoes, accessories, small bag. The clubs can go in the back but it's more hassle than it's worth so I just put it in the front passenger seat. And the back seats (which I always keep folded down) can be used for some luggage.

So, Coupe owners who play golf...will a folding golf push cart fit in the back boot? I know the back trunk is long but I'm worried about the height. The push cart folds in a square box shape. Maybe about 1.5 feet high. Will this allow the trunk to close? I suppose I can always put the push cart in the front passenger side and the clubs in the back but it's so much easier to just have the clubs ride shootgun. Thanks!

Hi Shift, yes it will fit in the boot, also dont forget the parcel shelf comes out to give you lots more room even enough to fit two sets of clubs in there with the woods taken out
Great choice by the way, you wont regret it lol

Default Good choice

I am also a Porsche refugee. I had a 2014 GT3 which was recalled and I returned under California's lemon laws. The F Type R now has a little over 1000 miles on it and I am really happy with the switch. Yesterday I took it on my favorite back roads (over 100 miles of curves and no cops) and I can say for sure that it has a lot more soul than the GT3. I trust you will be very pleased with your purchase.

a little update for future reference. the clickgear will fit in the trunk with the privacy screen detached. but it moves around quite a bit and I didn't really like this big metal cube in the back. one bad bump and who knows where it's flying. ended up going with a less featured, compact bag bog m300 pull cart.

The nice thing is the wheels are removable with a hand twisted plastic knob. After a round the dirty wheels can be quickly removed and put in a garbage bag to keep the trunk clean of grass, mud, etc. (aside, always remove from trunk once home. in my 911 the front boot smelled like crap. the odor of grass, dirt, oils, etc. is hard to completely eliminate)

You can get clubs in the trunk as well but it's just easier to have them ride shotgun. also reduces chance of scratching the back spoiler trying to put a big bag in the trunk.
