I really like the new “The Manual” sketch shown here.

Totally agree....

I remember speaking to a Jag salesman around a year ago, not long after we bought Peters X type. He said at the time there's a lot coming, Jaguar are aiming high, looking to raise their profile, increase customer awareness and perception and also do better with customer servicing.

Most of these certainly seem to be coming to fruition.....Jag is everywhere right now in advertising, in movies etc

We also have an official Jaguar customer care representative on the forum ( UK based and orientated but will help anyone as much as he can ) and more....

As we are the UNofficial Jaguar site, it makes us proud that they have chosen to work hand in hand with us as one of the premier Jaguar forums to bring some amazing promotions and events to the members

Jaguar are doing a lot of things really well at the moment in regards to raising their profile

If that is true then I would think our current V8 RWD models should retain a bit of value as being the only year with that configuration.

I’m impressed! Jaguar seems to be doing all the right things to boost their image in a positive way. Not only is the image cool, but they really have the products to follow through on it and there does not appear to be an end. I am new to the brand and so far I am loving it. I have never been as thrilled with a car as I have with my F-Type! I'm already looking at a Jaguar/Range Rover option for my wife's next vehicle.

Thanks for posting.

I'm a fan of all of the variants.....Jaguar has paid very close attention to broadening the product line in a way that minimizes brand dilution. The R vert, AWD, and manual tranny all comport with this.

I would guess that they are following Porsche's strategy with the 911 platform, as the following article outlines:

A diversified Jaguar F-type range is exactly what?s needed | Autocar

For me, the most interesting models to look forward would be the lightweight variants...the equivalents to the 911 GT2 and GT3. Jaguar has GOT to be working on these -- possibly branded with the new SVR marquee -- and they could be amazing vehicles.

As others have pointed out before, there is a lot of excess weight that can be trimmed off the F-Type.

I am going to get the manual coupe version, whether or not I have to get a lease or a divorce!

Also the article says that all the current Coupe variations are increasing in price by Ł1800. ($2820)

I'm unclear whether AWD is standard and there is no RWD option for the V8, or it's AWD is standard and you can get an RWD option.

The only thing clear to me at this point is that manuals will only be available in the V6 cars, and all models will have the AWD option except the manual cars.

I wonder if the carbon fibre roof can be retrofitted like the glass roof...

I cant really understand raising the price. Unless it comes with more standard equipment!

Price increases are inevitable,I was rather surprised my car didn't go up during the 4 months it took to receive it.

Dumb question but does anyone know if there's an upcharge for the manual box..?

Well I guess my impression as a non-owner was the FTYPE is already overpriced. I think this is the real reason it hasn't been selling like hotcakes.

Jaguar is showing the F-Type not as a toy, but a main line within the company, with 14 versions of the car. With the exception of the e-diff that my cheap Golf GTI has, I am very happy with my V6S Coupe. Won't change for any other variant in the next 3 years, today my dream car is a GT3.

I agree completely with the sole exception being the backing away from the outstandiing and briiliant "villians" campaign (due to criticism that Jaguar was promoting unsafe driving practices; i.e. "brace yourself now").

Gimme a break!

Hmmm yes you may have a point
That seems to be everywhere we look at present though, with absolutely everybody concerned about being "politically correct"

The concept really grabbed the imagination and worked so well

My first reaction when I saw this Lexus commercial was that it was a ripoff of Jaguar's villain campaign.
