My general rule is chrome goes with dark, black goes with light, and silver(the flat and plastic looking ones) goes with nothing.
For any kind of red on the brighter spectrum, i'm definitely on the black camp. I do however dislike black wheels wholeheartedly, tough tough decision to make for my new rims 🤔
It's hard to go wrong with the f type though, the simple and elegant lines really make anything work, unless you really tried to make it look bad(red over beige/cream would be the top contender for me).
I actually considered one such example before I bought the Mazda as a temporary fix, a 2019 e400 wagon, had all the right and rare options(ventilated seats, digital gauges, double pane glasses, air suspension), low miles, fair price, couldn't get over the color combo at the end.

Went to JLR Manhattan today, got ridiculous quote for taking off the wheel locks and absurd price for lug nuts, not all is lost though, they washed the car out of habit even though i didn’t perform any paid service. Usually i would steer away from a dealer car wash but with how dirty the car is and the fact it’s already full of light swirls, it was actually the most pleasant part of the visit.
