Got my eye on a FType - need a PPI in PA - any suggestions?
HI all - long time X350 guy (2007 SV8) and looking to switch out my 911 for an FType R. I found one in PA but need someone to go check it out. It's a "Reconstruction Special" which allegedly has had front end damage (front bumper, bumper cover, hood) and has been fixed. Given it's a reconstruction, my insurance requires a certified mechanic to do a PPI, so looking for suggestions.
Also, what kind of typical things should I look out for? I checked the sticky and will add all of those items noted onto my list for my chosen PPI guy (or gal). In particular, is there anything we should check out in the front end given the previous damage to the car.
I know some of you think I am crazy for even considering this car, but I feel it's worth a strong look. So any suggestions on the above you gusy and gals could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Would be curious as to whether you guys and gals think it's worth it or not. And if you have any thoughts on the dealer, Ferreti Motors.

Have you checked KBB for market prices on 2015 V8S with similar mileage? This is salvage title car, it should be SIGNIFICANTLY under KBB.
I wouldn't touch a salvage title car, unless they have documented rebuild and offer a very deep discount. F-type is all epoxy and aluminum construction, chances it was fixed correctly are very slim. More so, it is convertible, big smash that would write it off increases chances of having cowl shake, seal leaks, roof issues...
Basically, insurance looked at the car and decided it isn't worth repairing or that it couldn't be repaired to spec. Someone else bought it and through they could do it cheaper than insurance estimates it would take to fix this. You are buying such car AS-iS and will have no recourse in case it isn't derivable. This is what salvage title means. Buyers beware.
