Hi,
A quick update picture showing the center hat in its machining stage.....
A full set are finished and have gone to be Hard Anodised black.
We are trying to have the test set finished this week, but we have a two day holiday so test fitting will be next week now at the earliest.
i will hopefully have more pictures as the rotors start to look good and finished weights.
Regards
Paul

My expectation is that the test fit will test the fit. It's a brake disc, so if the fit is correct, that should be sufficient. Thickness, offset, location of the friction surface, rotor clearance; those will be pretty obvious without driving around to much. That is, assuming they know how to build a two piece rotor that won't come apart. That seems a fair assumption, given their reputation.

The only times I'e had issues were when I made significant changes to only the front or the rear, and upset the balance. More sensitive brakes on the rear when there is no ABS can lead to some interesting characteristics. The front should stay in the front.
Vibration is bad in any case, and would most likely be a contamination or parts quality problem. I don't expect that will be an issue here.

I went with 2PC brakes on my Mustang, did not use Wortec but another company, they copied the front and rear stock disc just like Wortec.
The fronts fitted and performed fine, the rears even though they copied did not fit, they hit the rotor bolts on the caliper bracket over hangs, something they had not calculated for, of course this was spotted during fitment, so the car was not driven.
So they remedied this issue, fitted to car and all was fine, the preliminary test drive was also fine but after attempting a few stops from 100mph it was clearly apparent there was a run out issue as there was a horrible vibration being caused once the disc had heat in them.
In short the issue was in the rear hats, they never did solve it and as such I just left the front 2PC rotors on but stayed with the stock rear 1PC disc, car was fine.
Wortec do offer full brake kits for the Mustang, they work flawlessy and hence I should of gone with Wortec.
My point is however, all may look perfect from an install and quick ten minute drive around the street, when it comes to brakes and mass producing several sets this is certainly nowhere near good enough testing.
As such this is why the brakes will be left on my car until the mass production sets are made, then if I do report any issues they can hopefully be resolved before mass production.
The last thing Wortec wants and yourselves is a vibration issue once the disc have being heavily used, I live in the UK and we have the roads and several local test tracks nearby where I can test stopping ability from very high speeds, as in excess of 180+ miles per hour.
That is me in my car a few weekends ago competing in one mile racing, so lets just say I am probably the best candidate here for making sure these rotors are fit for purpose as I suspect not many of you shall be trying to stop from near 200mph any time soon.

New F-pace SVR gets two-piece disks:
https://media.jaguar.com/news/2018/0...nce-suv-design
“the uprated larger 395mm front and 396mm rear brake discs. The brake discs feature an advanced two piece construction on the front and rear to reduce weight, further contributing to the SVR’s agile handling.”
We are on the same track! Can’t wait to get the Wortec two-piece rotors on my F-Type.
Anyone got an idea if the OEM F-Pace SVR disks can possibly be fittet to an F-Type?

Spoke with Paul on the phone today, test fitting shall be sometime next week, the rears don't save as much 3-4kg per disc depending on cut still quite a bit and they look much nicer.
The total saving however is around 21kg which is 46lbs which happens to be same as ceramics save you without the crazy cost.
He also confirmed that Wortec disc work great with EBC yellows and as such wear rates should be better than stock, but even better the Wortec disc once worn can be skimmed for not much money to be like new again which is good for longevity and upkeep cost.
