I'm running Forgeline GA3R on my other car. They are 23-24 lbs. in a 19x11 and 19x11.5. I will look for something similar for the F-Type when I start racing it. they are guaranteed for the track and much better looking, IMP, than the CCW and similar to the Rhonna RF2. They clear the six pot Brembos on that car.
Based on what you said here, I'd say go for it. I am not fond of the look of the 18's (still think it will odd with those big brakes), but the weight savings are what you need to accomplish your goal. I guess I did not realize some people see this car as a racer (my apologies), I never looked at it that way myself but good luck I'll be interested in seeing the results with this new setup.

Going with a TS12 18" setup will save about 60lbs in total over the OEM 20s. Here are a few pics of 18s on a Huracan and a Porsche. Huracan front brakes are also 15" if memory serves.
This car doesn't see much action once the temps are routinely under 40 degrees.
Ok...after much searching and discussions, this is the best I could come up with:
1. Except for ESE, none of the other CF wheel distributors were willing to custom size our wheels with less than about 40-50 wheel sets on the line.
2. ESE is willing to build the ESE-1 (option #2) to our specifications with a 5 set minimum buy for $7200/set plus $75/wheel to custom size the center cap hole for the Jag cap. (Their standard hole is sized for a Porsche cap or their own)
3. They are willing to custom engineer and design a wheel similar to options 4&5 for a $48,500 setup fee plus the same pricing per set as the ESE-1s. Might be worth it if we had interest from 30-40 people, but unlikely to occur.
So at this point it's option 2 at about 14# each or we move on to a group buy on forged wheels at about 20# each.
Who is interested in moving forward with the ESE-1s?
Obviously this thread is stupid old and this option may be out the window. I actually liked that wheel the best of all the options. Do they still offer to make this wheel? This is considerably cheaper than the other CF options I know of. This is the same price as regular ole forged wheels, so I'd be all about it if it's still an option.

ESE has been threatening to produce these wheels “within the next 3-4 months” for years now, brazenly taking 50% deposits on $10,000 sets to get you in the queue for production. They’ve been “in business” since 2011 and as of the beginning of this year are now promoting an introduction “in the coming year”. Also, the promised weight has risen from 13.5 lbs to over 17 lbs per wheel. Spending ~$2600 on a set of VS Forged wheels weighing in at just over 22 lbs each that have been on the road for quite some time just makes a bit more sense. That still offers a 40 lb unsprung weight savings versus a promised 60 lb savings for a quarter of the cost. For another $2500-3000 you can get another 40 lb unsprung weight savings with a set of Wortec rotors.
Ugh. Companies like that are just awful. Had a similar experience where I backed a bluetooth window ac unit called Noria on Kickstarter back in 2016 and their original delivery date was summer 2017. They still have yet to make it happen. I got my money back after the very first slide to the right, but I still get the kickstarter updates. Anyway, thanks for the heads up. I've definitely NEVER seen a set of forged wheels for $2600 though. About the cheapest I've seen is about $1700 per wheel, all the way up to $2200 per wheel (and I'm sure there's more expensive than that). I will check out VS though and if they're really that cheap and they've got some wheels I like, I'll definitely switch to the flow formed ones I've picked out already

I'm super surprised how cheap these are. Can get a set of 21s for under 3 grand. That absolutely blows my mind. I wish they had a wheel with a deep lip, but the VS03s look pretty cool. Might go with those. Thanks for the info!!
