??? Never had a problem getting AAA to respond 24/7 anywhere. If no cell phone reception, the closest dwelling will usually help out. They tow up to 200 miles for free to the repair facility of my choice.

Slice a sidewalk on a good pothole and your car is disabled. Repair kit won't help. If it happens to you on a Saturday....forget it....

I had that happen to me on my XFR going to a friend's wedding over 100 miles away from home on a Saturday....Jaguar roadside was great. They put on the SPARE ....and we were on our way....

If I had my F-Type...we would have been a 100 miles away with a car in a flatbed dressed for a wedding....

As it is, my wife hates the F-Type ...I can only imagine her rage if that had happened in the F-Type...lol

I know, and that was my first reaction. Since I'm used to routinely swapping all four tires out in my garage (e.g. performance to winter, street to racing, and vice-versa), changing tires is second nature.

I've also changed flat tires on a shoulder, but that was in the pre-smart phone/texting/car infotainment system age. I think changing a tire today on a busy highway is flat-out dangerous. If disabled today on the shoulder of a crowded urban freeway, I'd probably call road-side assistance and get as far away from the car as possible, unless I had police vehicle behind me all lit up.

I would do the same. I have also called roadside assistance to jump start my car before.

AAA come out in 15 minutes and there is no additional charges. Just more convenient than doing the work yourself.

If I thought I could get RACV (our AAA equivalent) out in 15 minutes to attend to anything, I might consider it, but it's more like an hour, even in metro Melbourne. A flat battery is fair enough, but I'd have a tire changed and be gone long before they arrive, and my time is money.
