I just got contacted by fedex that my steering wheel from guardian is in the US and I’m filling out the HS7 customs form. Which declaration did everyone select?

thanks in advance.

Custom declaration? That is news to me. Mine arrived via FedEx just like any other package. It must have slipped under the radar. I have the original shipping box somewhere and will take a look.

I also got mine delivered without any customs declaration. Maybe try contacting them to ask?

I did not have to complete the form ahead of time, but about a month later, I got a call from Fedex about a letter they sent me regarding the import duites that were owed. I told them it was a car part and I think it was like $20 or something like that. I found it odd, as most often when I've ordered anything overseas into the states, all the taxes and duties were never asked for after the fact.

I had to pay duty on my Wortec rotors on delivery. UPS collected it.

Guardian provided me a form with the areas that were required. Thank you Tomasz, you have been very easy to work with and helpful throughout the process.

I'm looking forward to getting this wheel along with a set of red seat belts installed as soon as I get everything.

There's nothing to afraid of.

HS-7 definition:
Declaration Form for the importation of motor vehicles and motor vehicle equipment subject to federal motor vehicle safety, bumper, and theft prevention standards. This form is used by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It is standard and simple 1-page form used only in US, but I imagine because quantity of
all imported automotive spares only random check by customs can be performed.
Therefore - in reality - majority of orders clears without HS-7 and customs fees.
