Default Gyrodynes on my car instead of Tornados

Quick question. I just noticed on my F-types spec sheet that i have the $2,500 20" Tornado wheels optioned. But my car clearly has the 20" Gyrodyne wheels on it

I like the Gyrodyne wheels alot better than the Tornados. But i am wondering if they are the same price ? i cant find info on how much the Gyrodynes were optioned from the factory, so i cant find a number to compare. I wouldnt want to have paid for the Tornado wheels, but ended up with a cheaper wheel.

I have a 2016 Firesand S

It was said that the Gyrodynes were only ever available/optioned for the V8 R model so if your car had a previous owner, they managed to get hold of them. I'm pretty sure if you look them up they were more expensive than the Tornado so don't feel short changed. Also happened to my 2016 V6 and I'm not complaining....

Gyrodynes in silver were standard on R and grey diamond turned were extra $1k as I recall. They weren't available on the S to my knowledge. I expect you had the black tornados for plus $2500? The tornados in either color list for around $1k on Sacramento Jaguar website, but they don't show the Gyrodynes, curious.

Update, found both listed at Jaguar Palm Beach, looks like Tornados slightly more money:

Thanks for the info. I actually purchased my F-TYPE new from the dealer , it was a hold over 2016 model, so it didn't have a previous owner . I'm just kinda annoyed it wasn't disclosed to me that the wheels on the car were different than on the window sticker , I wasn't familiar with the wheels names at the time .

Now I need to figure out which I like better , the gyrodynes or the black tornados. My wife is saying the black tornados are better, but I'm leaning towards the gyrodynes, since I feel like all black wheels loose all definition.

I can either try to take the car back and have them get the tornado wheels , or give them **** about not disclosing the wheels difference and try to get an accessory for free

As I recall, the silver gyrodynes were one of the standard wheels. The grey diamond cut gyrodynes were a $1000 option and the black tornados were a $2500 option. It sounds like the dealer removed the black tornados to put on another car for someone that wanted them. If your sale was based off of the sticker price, you were short changed by $2500 if your gyrodynes are silver or $1500 if your gyrodynes are grey diamond cut. I'd go back and get something.

I'm definitely going to stop by the dealer and have a talk about this. Maybe also get them to fix my carpet that's separating and my scratched window

I have the grey diamond turned on mine and I have to agree with you, the all black "as built" would not have been my choice but that may depend on your body colour.

I'm not a big fan of current trend "murdered out" black look, black paint, black wheels, black seats, black tail lights and inside little black lights that light up black.....

As built:

Tornado's (in silver) were a $500 option on the 2015 R. I have them on my car.

I'm not sure of the weights but they're heavy! Probably comparable to the Gyrodyne as they are both cast wheels.

The black Tornado's are more expensive than the polished Gyrodynes.

It's curious how these wheels were priced on the R vs S. Where the gyrodynes an option on the S? I don't think tornados were offered on R's. I went to a dealer site (see link in my post) to see what they charged for them as accessories and both were about the same (in black and grey diamond turned). Silver gyrodynes are less as you indicate. Tornados in black look great on firesand imo. The dealer should have told the OP. I saw cars advertised with carbon fiber wheels on sticker that didn't have them. OP has legitimate issue.

I'm generally not a "black wheel" person, but I like the Tornados on some cars. They have just enough chrome to break up the black.
