After Reading the Jalopnik Review posted here last month, I found out some more about the drive in one of the pictures in that review. Someone here identified it as Hawk's Nest in the Delaware River Gap n the New York/ New Jersey / Pennsylvania border. I don't live that close, but knew if I was closer for some reason, I'd have to give it a try. Well, I decided to treat myself on my Birthday today, and being about an hour closer for business, I sought it out. I have to say, this is an awesome road for an F-Type, particularly the convertible. The actual twisty canyon style road is not that long, but it's still great. With the close rock walls, you can really hear the car roar reverberated through the valley. I totally recommend it if you're in the area. Here's a picture from today, looking back on the best stretch of the road.
I used to live in that area about 10 years ago. That entire area of the Delaware Water Gap was always a favorite place for motorcycle rides.
There are a great many roads around there and up in the Poconos which are truly awesome driving roads!
(On a side note, I'll be back in the area in July, and on my way I plan on stopping at Tail of the Dragon. If you want one of the absolute BEST drives in the country, find a reason to head to NC / TN border and enjoy!)
Looks awesome. The best driving road I've driven is CA 168 that starts in Bishop, CA and heads over to Nevada. I did it at night so couldn't see the scenery, but imagine it's nothing like your photo in terms of beauty.
