I ordered mine before they were shipping, and before anyone outside of Jaguar had driven one.

Probably not true. If that picture existed, I guarantee people outside of Jaguar had driven the F-Type. Shipment, high mileage test driving, focus groups, etc. are all done by outside companies. But I understand your point, there were likely no journalist reviews at that point.

That's what I meant.


My memory is that I saw that picture somewhere around Jan '13, ordered in March, and the first reviews starting showing up in April, along with UK shipments. Got my car in June '13.

Yah that picture would have done it for me as well had I seen it. With me it was the first "good to be bad" commercial. I just watched and said "what the hell was that?!" and i was a lost soul from that point on.
