Thanks - I've had the E-type for 36 years, and the F for 6 months. Amazing after about 50 years of automotive development they still have such a strong family resemblance!
Best Regards,
Mike

Great picture! That sure is a long term ownership!

How many miles have you put on the E-type?

Oh yeah, there's an F-type in the picture. Welcome, I'll take the one on the left.

Thanks! Thought I'd find some other E-type fans here ;-) First time I saw one when I was 7, I knew I had to have one someday (I got the same feeling when I first saw the F-type!). As for miles on my E-type, roughly 80,000. It was my daily driver for the first 6 years, during which time I got it in good shape and added a few mods (Webers, cams, headers, misc.). More recently it has become an occasional, fair weather car (haven't put the top up in over 25 years!)

That's an awesome pic! And I'm pretty sure I saw that exact F-Type when I was at the Sacramento Jaguar dealership just the other day! Is that where you bought/leased it?

Thanks! Must have been an evil twin...I found it at a dealer in L.A. - the drive back north on Hwy 1 was a nice bonus!

Out in the country with my F-Type last summer I stopped to get gas - a guy says "nice car" and I look and see he has an E-Type on the other side of the pumps. I admire his ride and we get to talking: he regrets that the E-Type is now just a "summer sunny driver" and he wouldn't take it on a long trip anymore: uncomfortable seats, leaky top, not great climate control, lack of modern safety features.
That week I did a round-trip to Boston covering 500 miles in 2 days and the coupe was brilliant: premium seats were comfy, auto wipers, lights and climate control made the drive easy and we really "ripped up the road" on the trip.
Ideal is to have one of each! Hats off to you DVDT!
