If I were in the market for a car similar to an F Type but at a much lower price I would be looking at the Subaru BRZ. It is under-powered (200 HP boxster ) but I think they look great. There is dark grey one in my neighborhood and some people thought it was my F Type R.

If I wanted more power I would go for the Hyundai Genisis Coupe with 348 HP.

Depends on which voice is louder, the voice coming from my left shoulder or my right. (Perhaps you didn't look closely enough at my avatar?).

I vote for the Boxster. I have a 2008 Boxster S and it has been a great car. I will be sad to see it go.

Thumbs up

Miatas, Porkers - Common as muck!

At the young age of 24, you really ought to experience something a bit more 'thrilling' and work your way up gently....

Get a nice Triumph Spitfire...

Interestingly, I know of at least 5 other F-Type owners that had them prior.

Once experienced, never forgotten; cheap, rare 'ish, FUN and convertible.
No gadgets, gizmos or driver aids, just pure unadulterated fun. I managed to keep mine through a marriage, two kids...then I grew out of it (the car!) and jumped head long into a V8S Cab...slight power hike to say the least

I'm a MINI fan, but that thing looks like crap. I'm waiting for the MINI Superleggera (without center tailfin).

A bit of friendly advice, unasked for, but my rule of thumb.

Born in the "big city" type of life, great family values, rich in familial everything, friends, but money wise...."low income", and never knew how low. However, here is the car association.

Would play football in the streets, stickball, handball, and would always see younger folks driving by in beautiful "Electra's, Riviera's etc.", and I would admire the cars, and think....why can't I have one...."Some Day". Over time, I worked my way up year on year to nicer cars, as my own "ability to safely pay" improved along with it.

My recommendation to you is to get what you like, comfortably can pay for, and there is a beauty in gradual increases in cars and other things. You will truly appreciate it when you look back more than the anguish of force fitting something into your budget where the payment ability isn't comfortably available.

Summary - Wait and get something cheaper, more affordable and can still satisfy your desire to have a good time. You will truly appreciate it, and used is truly a great option!!! Good Luck, and hope this helps you to reflect on an alternate story/opinion/suggestion.
