In case anyone is interested. Tom posted a couple pictures and started answering the questions regarding the radar detector that he has been testing that is scheduled to be released in June. It can come with single or dual radar detection. Attached is the link into the forum where he posted the information. This is to integrate with the AL Priority jammers that some of us have.

Really? They are that strict over there huh? Then you better get one that is invisible and built into the system. They actually make them with built in radar detector detectors if that makes sense.. =)

They call it perverting the course of justice and take a far harder view of that than "speeding" .... subject to to where and how much

oh wow. They're not that bad here in the states. Counter measures is illegal in some states, but for the most part we're ok.

Radar detectors - illegal in 2 states
Radar Jammers - illegal in 10 states

Thanks for posting. I did not realize Antilaser had their own antenna now. I was thinking he was talking about Radenso HD+ but this is something new.

I tested several radar detectors simultaneously, some cause a neighboring unit to trigger falsely, and even repaired some for a while.

The Escort Max II is what I use now and am very pleased with such an inexpensive unit, I repaired a simple case issue got it for $200 and can move easily from car to car. It is hardwired so I have a hardwire setup in my truck as well.

Can upgrade the software when an upgrade is available.

It easily outperformed the 9500ix.

Same as Redline but with some useful additional options I think.

you're welcome. Yeah this something that apparently ALP is working with Vortex on the implementation and testing. It looks like they're getting ready for future technology as well. I'm going to buy the multi unit front and rear to integrate into the ALP system. Will let you know in a few months after my testing. The only thing I'm debating now is to either go with HiFi control or the Bluetooth version. So many damn choices....

I am still leaning to stinger or radenso. I think ALP is being too conservative regarding doing lockouts (concerned about escort patent). The others are doing lockouts.

understood, but the Stinger was just priced too much with the radar and jammer. Combined $5,995.00 plus installation or you could do yourself. If I wasn't doing the stereo swap, tune and tires I might have went for the Stinger, but at this time the Stinger was just priced about $3,000 more than I wanted to spend on the radar alone. I would say tell us what you think when you get it, but all reports even a recent one I seen had their system picking up radar 2,500 feet out before any others and their jammers well ALP and Stinger has rated 1 and 2 for the last few years so that's a wash, but if I could've went with Stinger Radar and ALP jammers I probably would've considered, but not compatible for obvious reasons. Let me know your thoughts when you do get the Stinger...

That's something I never understood. My Max360 picks up K and Ka far enough for me to slow down, most of the time so far, that I get pissed thinking it is a false alert, and based on the rumors it's not even close to what others are picking, on the other hand, it has some of the best filters available at the moment. Combined with EL and Waze, I felt pretty comfortable on FL Turnpike yesterday, 20 speed traps during a 400 mile roundtrip (that time of the month) every one of them showed up on Waze, EL and my 360. Couple I/O's, few chases and the rest of them were out front.

I love the fact that the new Max360 has arrows and multiple threat recognition, GPS, and programmable (upgrades) with your laptop.... If I ever run into Laser or hear that one of my friends gets a proven Laser ticket down here in SE Florida, I'll think about ALP, but by then every car will have some kind of Laser based lane change assist, collision avoidance or some other "take me home" system creating a havoc on systems....

Here's a short list of Cars giving out false K, Ka and Laser alerts... I ran behind a McLaren yesterday, gave me a Laser alert..... Only thing I need is an active laser jammer on my car, and some yahoo behind me relying on his collision avoidance while tailgating me.

That's a lot of K band. I finally turned mine off. I have yet to have a positive K alert. Ka is almost always positive (Michigan).

I purchased the AL priority jammer system last month (5 heads) but still need to purchase the dual head radar next month when it comes out. I would like code to see if it will work on that, it would save me $89.99.. Thank you

Very much agreed. You either follow a rabbit or you drive with the top flight ECM. Driving with bad ECM is like combing your hair to cover the bald. You are not fooling anyone but yourself.

There are also some other threats to think about. Red light cameras may necessitate a red light camera GPS map. VASCAR traps may call for an anti-collision radar. RDDs in radar-illegal states can make passive antennas (like STi-R or Redline) a must.

Yes, therefore you must (1) jam to kill (quickly!), never jam to gun; (2) have a USB key for whatever-you-have, and toss it/hide it at times. Without the key, it functions just like parking sensors.

Overall, for something like this, it is more difficult, if not impossible, to convict you of obstruction of justice or any other serious criminal charges in Canuckistan than in the States, but they can still charge you a bunch of minor things just to give you a hard time. A good lawyer connection is a must just like in anywhere else.

At last, be mindful that the OPP has a unit specializes in monitoring the internet speech of Ontario residents, so take caution.

Late to the party here. May have already been suggested....but I would go here

Radar Detector & Laser Jammer Forum

Best info anywhere. These guys are serious radar and lidar enthusiasts. You will find out the best for you area, needs, and budget. I'm in California...mostly KA band 34.7 but laser is getting more popular for law enforcement. I have one car thats tricked out with STiR+ also Redline, and Antilaser Priority.
Cheers
