Default Help with info about a Copart F-type

Hello

Apparently an F-type for sale has been to Copart in 2018.
I called Copart and they couldn't find any information about this. I am interested in the car but not if it has been to an accident or similar.
Is there anybody who could look this up? Posted this already on the uk forum.

But in this case copart has done a PDI on the car and AC service. Seems weird that a new car would need that after 100 miles. Since when does Copart do this?

Which odometer showed 100 miles, the old one or the new one?

Both. They changed it from kmh to mph. The miles didn’t change

Could be just where the service was chosen to be performed. That isn't a normal salvage yard, it's their special vehicle operations department. They do Ford GT's and such.

interesting as I am very interested in this car. It is extremely cheap compared to a brand new 19 model in Sweden were I live. 43% cheaper.

What worries me is that the car is German registered and sent back to the UK 1.5 months after production. I don’t know why.

Roll the dice brother. These cars arent very hard or expensive to work on. If you're getting 43% savings, you have 40% to invest before you have anything to worry about.

that’s true. A new one in Sweden goes for 150 000 dollars. It’s extreme. And our polution taxes, don’t get me started. 5700 dollars for a total of 3 years no matter how much you drive.

can you show me more info about that Copart SVO department so I am 100% sure it’s not a place crashed cars are at?

Ouch! I though the UK was bad at around £500 a year. I think that logic is flawed, though - if you've paid that much just to own the car are you going to leave it at home and use public transport? I don't think so!

There are crashed cars there as well - I am not denying that. But copart also owns crashedtoys and several locations are specifically trained and authorized to work on these cars. We have one here in ohio where my company get's a lot of Vipers and Corvettes from. It could be something as simple as the original installed speedometer was defective, so the dealer or jaguar sent the car to copart SVO to have the work done and completed before it was offered for sale or taken back. The odometer part would be the red flag... but thats one easy red flag I'd take over "vehicle fell off transport" or "vehicle caught on fire prior to delivery."

There are paid services that can go inspect the car for you here in the US. I'm sure they offer something out that way as well?

Since I live some distance away I need to be sure the car is okay and I will be able to sell it after 3-4 years or similar.

It may be a "Lemon Law" take-back by Jaguar. Not sure how the Lemon Laws work in Europe.
