Default Hood hitting intake pipe HELP!!

Just changed oil and noticed my hood is hitting the Mina intake upper tube on the passenger side, also noticed it’s sitting higher than driver side by an inch or so. The tubes seems to be secured well.

i did try to adjust the hood position(front rubber bump stops close to the bumper) prior to noticing this, I’m thinking i lowered it too much, all the way in, i have now raised it back.

Damaged spots, on the right rubbing against the tube, on the left rubbing against the clamp screw.

orange splatter looks like coolant??

damaged spot on the tube, the clear tape is there to gauge if it’s still touching after raising rubber hood stop. Tape is smooth after trying.

does this wire look like rodent damaged?

put on some clay for further test, the clay has transferred to the hood and been squeeze to ~2mm thickness, so clearance is tight. Clamp screw seems to be touching still.

coolant cap area seems clean.

is the black thing on the left bottom corner supposed to be attached to something?

It appears your stainless tube is installed backwards, causing it to convex backwards and up - my weld is located towards the wheel well and piping sits horizontal to the front of the car.

And that "black thing in the left bottom corner" of your last pic is simply a mounting bracket for the OEM intake and is no longer needed with the Mina intake.

Agreed with TaylorGuy, and also why not flip and rotate the band clamps so the adjustment screw is on the side between the engine and the intake with the screw facing up?

Agreed with above. Your intake piping is installed incorrectly. I did similar when I installed a Kline exhaust on my Porsche. I installed the tips incorrectly. I am surprised the intake lined up elsewhere but it sure appears to be installed incorrectly.

Yeah there's enough play in the rubber housing to make things fit, but off just enough to touch things. Glad it didn't cause major problems.

Looks like your welding spots are on the correct position, though your first pic does seem to be angled up a bit? If they aren't touching anything, I wouldn't stress it though.

Here is how mine looks after fixing the orientation. Looks quite level and even on both sides.

Mine doesn’t rub, it could be they just need adjustment to be more level. Oh well,
