Default How to make that crackle sound from the exhaust and install gps

Hi guys, got a noob question. How do you make that crackle sound from the FType exhaust? I heard to downshift from a high rev or something?

And a side question is, anyone know if it's possible to add GPS onto the existing car computer by yourself? Or better to bring it back to the dealer and pay the price.

thanks!

To keep speed reasonable, manually put it in 2nd gear. Rev it past 4K rpm, lift off, blip the throttle a bit.

Asian markets don't come with the same satnav (they use an add-on system that may not have been specified from new). Hong Kong may be such a market.

(I recall a member who purchased a Swiss X351 also found it had no satnav. I am unsure why, unless it was originally specified for export?)

The screen is still installed and all the other functions work as normal, but there is no satnav soft button on the screen and no hard button on the surrounding trim.

Your dealer may be able to help you to retrofit the hardware and program it in. I am unsure whether such cars are prewired or not. The add-on satnav modules sit under the spare wheel and look like the attached image (top with 4 connectors is the Japan module, bottom with three (plus SD on the rear) is Asian). You could check to see if you have the connectors present in your car.
