I would advise hunting for sales/service as two goals.

I tracked down a ftype that was an hour+ away that had been sitting on the lot for almost a year to get my pricing. But, I use my local shop for service because they have a good rep.

Back in 2014 I managed to get just 1% of the car, with mats and a tank of fuel thrown in. When I picked it up there was only half a tank, and they had messed up the paperwork.

HA Fox are Cheap however.

I'm not sure what you can get as a % discount. What I can share is I bought my 2016 f type s coupe at $13K under MSRP. Hope that helps

Here's another approach. If they'll show you the "correct" invoice. Look at the bottom and you'll see HB than a series of numbers. Go to the end go back 2 numbers and place a decimal point. That's the sum that Jaguar pays your dealer when sold. They'll balk but that's a fact. Hope it helps, but make sure your working off the correct invoice, Raybo. BTW: If your in LA do NOT visit Hornburg Hollywood. They do very unsettling things during the sales process. Visit the other Hornburg dealership in LA, or the Newport Beach, or mission viejo dealerships

Super helpful thread here as are so many of the other threads on discounts and pricing. I'm looking at buying a 2017 Premium and I'm still trying to determine if the $7K off of MSRP of $73K is a good deal or if I should wait until the 2018 is on the streets in a few months. Jag has the $2K customer cash on top of that for financing so it could be a total of $9K. Seems fairly good to me, but I'm the kind of guy who hears a great song on the radio and still checks other channels to see if there's a better song on :-)

Dang, I though that the 20% off that I got was a killer deal. Now it looks like it was aw-right...
Marin Jag might still have some 2016's w $15K off. That is the deal they were going to give me, but I found one with more options that I liked better. With $18K off

There are some very good deals around for used F-types. I purchased a 2016 Coupe R with 602 miles on it invoiced at $111,533 for $87,800. A 22% discount.

This one looks like a fair deal.

Last June I purchased a 2016 Base, ~same as a 2017 Premium, for $62k, or 8.8% off the $70,495 MSRP. I'd say your deal is good given it's a 2017. If you wait til summer there will probably be sweeter factory to dealer incentives but you'll also likely have less to choose from.

Don't forget the possibility of the JCNA discount - you need to be a JCNA member for at least 6 months before you purchase the car, and must complete the JCNA stuff before closing, so that the discount can be applied at closing...

(And note that it's a discount at closing, not a rebate after the fact)

Thanks for the info. I"m looking at a configuration in the $73K range and would expect the same level of discount if the dealer is motivated. I'd love to get any more relevant detail that could help me with my negotiation such as what portion was Jaguar cash, whether you had the JCNA discount, etc. - in other words how did you get that level of discount? Feel free to PM me.

Talk to Kevin at Rusnak in Pasadena. He will get you a good deal. He is in charge of Internet sales. Instock car will always be a better deal.

I'm actually not far from Rusnak Pasadena and Hornburg of Los Angeles.

I've read many people getting ~15-20% off MSRP, but it seems like those are for loaded, higher priced models ($75k+) .. which is great, because essentially that drops the price down to a base model

My question is approximately how many % off MSRP I can get off a base model

2017 model: base automatic $62,700+995 destination = $63,695
2016 model: same scenario, msrp $64-65k-ish

Thanks for your help and advice.
