How to remove F Type battery?
Another frustrated owner here who left an OBD device plugged in for 2 weeks without driving the car and now my 2016 wont start
I was able to get the trunk open by jumping from the hood and unplugged the battery earth lead and tried the holding break pedal down for 10 seconds and re-jumping starting the car and it didnt work.
Looks like the battery is pretty dead.
I'm thinking of removing the main battery and bringing it home and plugging in a trickle charger to an outlet at home to the battery.
Are there any instructions on how to safely remove the main battery from a 2016? I don't really want to electrocute myself this weekend.

You won't be electrocuted it's only 12 volts.Always start taking the minus(-) cable off, usually(always) black cable, then remove the plus(+) cable usually(always) red,and remove fixings, that's all...Be careful when you take the black cable off that it doesn't touch something mettaliic or you will get a short circuit!Have fun

I was able to hook the battery back up and not get electrocuted and went out for a drive for an hour to make sure the battery looked ok.
Looks like OBD port device I have has a backup mode where it can be plugged into the cigarette lighter instead. I'm thinking of hooking that up to the one in the compartment under the hand rest.
Does anyone know if hooking up a GPS enabled device to the cigarette lighter like that will be a parasitic drain on the battery as well or will it only pull power that way once the car has been started unlike the OBD port which pulls power all the time?
