Let's hope that the US increases are smaller. I've not seen anything re US prices yet.

The price increases don't seem to be that much. The R Coupe price goes up $6,106 USD (the link lists $7,840 AUD), and includes AWD, the pano roof ($1,200 in 2015) and the Vision pack ($2,100 in 2015). So, essentially you are getting the AWD on a 2016 for $2,800. Seems entirely reasonable to me. I don't see any HUGE price increases in that...

Not sure that's terribly meaningful for understanding where U.S. pricing will land. Using today's exchange rates for AUD to USD, that would put a base V6 automatic convertible at $112K (USD), which would be an absolutely absurd $50K more than I paid for essentially the same '14MY convertible.

That simply won't fly here because it would make the car completely uncompetitive. In other words, U.S. versions are signficantly discounted compared to the same car almost anywhere else in the world.

I would predict about a $5K increase over '15 US pricing.

Seems about right. I was quoted AUD$6k higher on the AWD than the equivalently optioned car as RWD. That was in mid December. But after being offered a massive discount on a RWD, I decided it wasn't worth the 6 month wait.

And the RWD accelerates 0.1. slower to 100kmh, which I found surprising.

Vision Pack remains an option on the 2016 R

I've said all along that the base car at $65K was an unbelievable bargain,I fully expected the MSRP to go up between the time I ordered mine and when I received it...but to my surprise,it didn't.

Default Jaguarusa configurator pages have changed

Since yesterday the F-Type configurator has been tweaked. They are no longer offering the 2015 for configuration, only the 2016 MY. Still no pricing. All options still showing the same as previously for the 2016:

For those in the US or UK, don't get too wound up about the Australian pricing. The Aussie Dollar has tanked in the last 12 months compared to the Pound and the USD, so the price increases are more to do with exchange rates than anything else.

~ the thing i noticed... if you select the v6s awd... you automatically obtain the following:

design pack adds visual impact with a body colored front bumper splitter and aero splitters, side sill extensions and rear venture.

not a big fan of the appearance of the extensions and rear valance on the f type.

Yes, I noticed that too. The AWD is going to cost more and I certainly don't need the extra Design Pack option cost added as well. JLR seems to like the Design Pack for some reason, but I think most on this forum don't. IMHO.

+1. In my personal opinion, the design pack adds a sense of busyness to the body shape that detracts from the clean, sleek and beautiful lines of the original design.

Good point. I didn't think of that.

Yep Aussie dollar is way down. Wouldn't be surprised to see them hi,e even further and discount less. The way I see it is that it just helps keep up the resale value for my car

Disagree with your conclusion, Cambo (but yes, our dollar has dropped dramatically).

I was comparing pricing on two identically spec'd R's and the only difference was RWD vs AWD, so I was comparing apples for apples, the exchange rate didn't play a factor in the price difference.

Yes, I also had confirmation through the dealer that 2016 models come with body colored sills, splitters and venturi. They make the car look "fatter" and spoil the lines of the car, I feel.

According to Autoweek - looks like the prices for the 2016 (US) have been announced -
Here's some of the article:

Packaging the all-wheel-drive hardware means the hood’s power dome is now a little more pronounced, but it’s crisply executed and adds a more purposeful look. But beware unwanted inflations elsewhere, including the price –- up $6,000 to $87,800 on the V6 S, while the R AWD bumps beyond $100K to $106,600 –- and weight rises a relatively small 176 pounds, but still pushes the all-aluminum R to 3,814 pounds.

The article doesn't mention if that includes any other packages. I believe the panoramic roof is now standard so that is $1200 included. The vision pack is the only other package left. If it is included then that's a $4200 increase but if it isn't then AWD adds $6400.

Either way, glad I got the MY15 R.

The pano roof is standard - the vision pack remains an option on the R

On top of that the power hatch is standard as well as the extra painted bits, in-control apps and 770 watt sound system (which I think was standard on the R?). So some increases from those too im sure.
