I Added Badges
I added badges to my F-Type and I love the look. It gives my car the appearance of a specialty built coach from Jaguar. The badges are Jaguar Concours D'Elegance. To those of you who would scoff at the idea, I say to you, the manufacturers have been doing this for years. Slap a specialty badge on a vehicle and the public would eat it up. Examples: Firebird/Formula/TransAm. Then there was the Camaro/Z-28/Iroc, and I'm sure there was a Landau edition. Also, the Ford Escort/Mercury Lynx. General Motors Tahoe/Dinali/Escalade. And the list goes on. I've attached a few photos.
P.S. I've just added $6,000 to my resale value, why? Because now, my F-Type is a "Special Edition"...lol

Counterpoint: High end cars have fewer badges. When was the last time you saw the model number/name on the back of a Ferrari? Lamborghini?
Ultimately, it's your car. You're the only one who has to like it. I debagged the back of my own car, but I like the badges you placed. Reminds me a little of the old grill badges.

I think the badges look really nice. I have a badge that I keep behind the netting between the seats [I kept two beautiful grill badges from my '86 xj6].
I don't understand why anybody here would put somebody down for something like this. If you don't care for something that another owner did to personalize their car, keep it to yourself. This isn't junior high school.

There are a few who relish in verbally attacking/insulting others. They just can't resist or refrain from being crude. Sadly, what I've said is true.

If one cannot freely express an opinion, without getting nasty, then we lose the ability to communicate.

I really don't think anyone here is putting anyone down. Rather, like myself, they are giving their opinion on a a post as we all do whenever anyone might have a differing opinion. I believe everyone who has made a comment here has done so being sure to state that it's the owner's car and an owner can do whatever they wish to it.

As crazy as this world is right now, let the guy enjoy his car. He obviously likes the look and just wanted some support. If you have none to offer, fine, but what is the purpose of telling him that you don't like it? And as far as freely expressing an opinion is concerned, freedom is intimately intertwined with responsibility. Dissing somebody's f type is like dissing their significant other [maybe worse!].

I believe we all understand how seriously we take our cars, so if someone had the courage to put something like that out there, the least we can do is be adults. What is to be gained by telling somebody that you don't like what they did to their car [unless it was hideous or dangerous]? Imagine what it would be like if everybody was telling everybody else why their color was better? It's personal preference. It's only a couple of badges.
