Default I didn't know this

I've had my F-Type convert for a couple of years now and just discovered something accidentally that I hadn't known before.

Even if the ignition is off, you can turn the audio system on - at least for 10 mins. I had thought all along that you had to turn the ignition on to use the audio system.

Of course, when I went back an looked in the owner's manual, that capability is mentioned. But who reads the manual that closely? :D

The message on mine is different:"depress clutch when starting (dumba$$)".

Cars would be more fun if the messages cursed us out. I always argue with my GPS as it's the only time I can win an argument with a lady. I figure if it could swear I'd be hearing it...

Off topic a bit: best GPS voice EVER was one my brother loaded up for a road trip called "the Cougar"... some sexy chick voice said things in a seductive and complimentary voice. However, after ignoring several turn directions (where she says something like "oh Sugar we need to make a u-turn"), she says "oh Honey, are we really going to do this all day?!" - almost drove off the road laughing so hard.

We can change the voice for the nav on our cars?!!

(I'd check my manual, but the car is learning to sing for a few more days).
