I wanted to take a minute to say how much I love this car!
We took our second (long) road trip a few weeks ago. This car is amazing. We drove 650 miles in one day and I was more comfortable than I would have been in my AT4. We got 27mpg going and almost 30 on the way back. I did have a CEL when we got into the mountains. A scan showed an O2 sensor error. After a couple of days it sorted itself out. It didn't seem to run any differently. I love the fact it can be very docile when needed and a little wild when wanted. We recently put a set of Continental Extreme Contact DWS 6+ (I think I got that right) on and they were great. Drove thru some rain and always felt sure footed. Anyway, I know all of you on here know all this, but what a great car!

Probably true. None of my Jags have ever picked up commercial addresses for some reason. My 16.5 (maps dating back to the stone age and unable to be updated) is better actually than the you beaut system in my wife's 2020 XE (though it is great with the directions showing on the HUD), takes forever to put addresses in, the route is ... circuitous ... to be charitable, it tells you to turn either 50 metres before or 5 meters after the actual turn. The wide screen on the 2020 gives a landscape map image which is counterintuitive because you are seeing much more of what is going on at each side of you than in front where you need it. I have much better results using google maps and it comes through the speakers anyway while I am running spotify.
But the Jag maps do have a lovely voice that you can listen to. Ours are created by whereis I think.
Not sure whether you guys have a lot of road changes over there - we have a lot of ongoing development and changes here, might be one reason why the maps are so bad. The system in my Mustang is heaps better than that in both my F Type and the XE, but the rest of the car isnt, of course.

I have no issue with the Jag nav. once I was able to update for renamed highway exits in MA.
Having said that it is easier using Carplay with Siri.
Google maps are usually current and Siri will do her best to direct you to your favorite store or restaurant.

I love the F type. I just did a long road trip with about 800 miles each way, yep 1600 miles. Perfect way to break in the new cat. I got about 31mpg and around 428 mile range at last fuel stop. Navi worked perfectly. Seats are decent. Not too hard and a lot of adjustments. I had L5 back surgery last year and this was my first long road trip since then. Back held up fine. I leaned the seat back far and varied lumbar settings along the route to reduce constant pressure on the back. I had an artificial disc implant in my back.

I have found using the nav menu to just input the phone number of a location is the easiest way for directions. Yes I agree this is a great Jaguar to drive at any time of day or weather, except snow lol. It’s low production numbers assures you will not see yourself coming and going, unlike some other cars that you all know. I throw this at there, how many f type that you’ve seen in the past year. The most I’ve seen on the road in three years was maybe 3 at lime rock track 3, rare cat. Not many in the wild.

I also stayed in normal mode most of the time. Only a few times going into the turns that I used sport mode. It was a fun drive for sure.

Sounds like I need an extra 2 cylinders to economize on gas!!
Perhaps the coupe is more efficient - less wind drag - than the vert?
I think I did actually get about 26.5 mpg last year in Canada but I discounted it because there might hav been some non-ethanol fuel involved.

Agree.
AliXpress "carsight" store and 350 dollars got a wireless applecarplay/androidauto unit to my door. Another 100 had a pro installation that looks and works "factory"....I now have wireless applecarplay that works every time that has up to date maps, Siri voice text, voice commands ("hey siri" is needed) and just won't go out of date.
Done.
Agree with OP, great car.
Should be able to turn 300k miles.

In car-crazy Southern California, there is pretty much every model of every make - but F-Types are oddly rare. We live just outside some rather wealthy areas and there, if your daily costs less than $100K, you're likely the "help" on the way to work. And yet, even including these area, I've only ever seen 2-3 F-Types since 2015. They really are rare cars. Now as for perfect, no car is, and there are plenty of objective threads here to address that reality.

Hey, we might have crossed paths. I was heading to Mi from Virginia. The first gas stop was 5.70 something, but less than Virginia. I was hanging out east of GR, in a small town called Newaygo. We are building our retirement home on Pettit Lake.

Repeat...did a long drive today.
57k miles. All new fluids.
No rattles. No issues. Wireless carplay goin (UAD) or not. Stock exhaust.
Bliss. Dynamic was flat on corners, communicative in the hands, got compliments, and proved that the gt3 has nothing under 5k revs (...).
Recommend this car if you like to drive in the real world - in the hills and canyons. Sure it is not a full bore track car...and that is absolutely excellent.
