Ignis Colored Pieces
I have an F Type S with the Ignis paddles, start, button and dynamic toggle.
Purely a matter of opinion, but does anyone else find these colored "bits" kind of cheap and out of place looking?
My paddle shifters are already peeling on the edges and showing white underneath. As a result I am switching to the aluminum paddles and thinking of changing the start button and dynamic toggle to black. I notice the Project 7 and some promotional shots of the 2016 R show this configuration. It just seems to flow better than the Ignis.

Yes, to me they just looked like cheap plastic that someone forgot to chrome. They should be made with anodized aluminum whatever color is selected.

Personally I like the look of the Ignis starting button and paddle shifters. I'm dismayed to learn they are already peeling on your F-Type. How long have you had it (and/or miles) before that started? Separately the only interior piece which I find particularly cheap (and clunky) is the cover for the cup holders.

I am going with the aluminum paddles. I have seen 2 articles on the F-Type that also mentioned the peeling edges. Edmunds posted a picture that looks just like mine with the white plastic showing through. The switch to aluminum will resolve the issue. Maybe I can get the dealer to discount them due to problem.

Allow me to clarify my statement above. I said I like the look of the Ignis starter button and paddle shifters, but never said they are of the highest quality.
On the other hand, I LOVE the look and the feel of the [rubberized] temperatures knobs and the switches below and think Jaguar really nailed those. Those look and feel like quality pieces.

Makes me wince every time I read one of you guys referring to your 100k R's.
Here in Australia, an unoptioned one costs AUD$230k - that's US$190k at today's exchange rate.
And before anyone says it, no, it doesn't cost 90k to stick the steering wheel back on the "correct side"!

It just (to me) illustrates an appallingly bad material choice. Nothing should be wearing out in a few months - imagine how sh*te they'll *all* look after a couple of years. Either mold them in solid material of the desired color, or cast them in aluminum and anodize (Start button too, I'd say).
