After a decade I finally got another cat, I used to own an XJ but sadly had to get rid of about 8 years ago, long story short I came across to an F-Type R last week and bam fell in love with it! Hoping to keep her as long as I can. I would like to hear what kind of oil you guys run in your cats, do you guys stick to the 0w20) or use thicker grades? Also let me know If any of you guys are from central Florida! Here is a quick pic with her chilling with my other British bombshell!

Regards the oil grade there are lots of debates and masses of different opinions, but for what it is worth and after many hours of research IMHO the recommended 0W-20 is too thin for Florida and you are better off with 5W-20.
Welcome back, Not from central but I'm from the wild wilderness of South Florida. But I will be driving up to Merritt island in a couple of weeks Congrats on the new cat, enjoy it and post more photos!!!

+1 Definitely run the thicker grade in hot climates

I must be missing something or someone else is...0w20 and 5w20 oils have exactly the same viscosity when hot (that is the 20 part of the description). It is the cold viscosity (5w and 0w) that differs...the 0w20 oil circulates more easily in a (very) cold engine than a 5w20 oil - so in Trondheim, Norway in the winter your Jaguar will be happier at start-up with the 0w20 oil than with the 5w20 oil. But in Florida in the winter (or winter as Florida gets winter), the 5w20 is more than fine...and in temperate climes (such as here in Victoria) using a 0w20 weight oil might produce an infinitesimally better fuel consumption figure, but that's about all.
Now if you are using the car on a race track, something like a 5w30 might make you feel better but it probably won't make the F-Type feel better.
Thats what I thought! I will be running 0W30 least, no way I am doing 0w20 lol thats olive oil, and once it breaks down thanks to Florida heat its more like 0w10 haha
I think he had a typo! and yes figured much, I mean they say because of the tight clearances use 20 instead of 30 but I will give 30 a go and see how she feels and how the oil report comes back
