I'm NOT too old for the IRR
As promised, here's the report. I went to the dealer, SF British Motors yesterday to make my choice of F Type colors. The IRR, well equipped was on the show room floor and it was love at first sight.
Three words were spoken to the GM, "I'll take it" Glad I did...
Thanks to everyone for the advice and feedback.

TXJagR; While this could just as easily been PM'd to you - and, yes, it's a quick highjacking of this thread - but I'm sure I'm not alone hoping life is ever-so-slightly-better (different) given what you and your son went through [with the passing of your wife, for those unaware] and that the F-Type (and your son's WRX) is/are providing both of you with some of the pleasures of life?
Here's wishing you the best and happy and healthy motoring.

Life is getting better. I will NEVER forget the past, but I have learned that life must go on, and cars have always been a passion of mine. Learning to enjoy life again is truly a process, but sports cars, and time with my son help me heal. Thank you! (To the few people who think I am compensating for something... well, maybe I am, but tough crap, I'm the one that has to live with myself in the mirror every morning.)
Now, back to the regularly scheduled program.

Continuing with the high-jack... one last comment...

2) Of course you will never forget the past and your wife!
3) Having a or many passions is vital. Cars are a great one in not just my opinion.
4) Doubtful - highly doubtful - anyone thinks you're doing anything but taking care of yourself and your son and trying to enjoy life again. And in the unlikely event anyone - here on this Forum or elsewhere - thinks differently, the hell with them!!!
5) Carpe diem!!!
Best regards,
Jay
