Default Incoming Calls

I have a concern regarding incoming call recognition in the F. I've paired my phone to the car and auto-loaded the phone book to the head unit, however regardless of whether the incoming call source is a number that is programed into my contacts list, the incoming call is never associated with a name, instead they are always displayed as an "Unknown Caller", followed by the number. Why is this and is there any way to force the car to recognize caller ID?

I think it is likely to be a permission from your phone rather than the car. That said I get more functionality from mine paired to my Note than it does paired to my wife's iPhone whatever

I have also noticed that the car automatic answers (accepts) the call. It rings once and then the caller is on the line, even if I don’t want to take the call.

Might be a setting. I have to hit the answer prompt.

Yes, 'automatic answer' is a setting. We paired our 2014 to the phones yesterday.

Can't remember if it is in the head-unit phone 'settings' or the setting menu that you access with the steering wheel LH buttons.

My brain still hurts from the choices!

Another thing to consider as well with those of you that have an IPhone 8s and possibly an older FTYPE like my 2014 (pre MY2016). If I have the iPhone charging through the USB connection wire when I get a call and push the accept button it may connect the call but won't let me hear anything in the car or let the caller here me, I need to make sure the wire connection is taken out and then it all works normally. I suspect the Bluetooth and the USB connection are fighting each other with the iPhone 8. Never happened with my iPhone 6s.

Confirming: that is not an issue on the MY2016.
