Inconsistent Miles to Empty

Inconsistent Miles to Empty
Hi, everyone!
Not sure if this applies to the V6 also, but my 2015 F-Type R seems to have inconsistent miles to empty almost every time I fill the car.
I’ve been using premium fuel. The first few times I filled it, the tank maxed out at 250 miles to empty.
Recently when I filled it, I got it to 350 miles to empty.
Just today when I went to fill it, it only hit 305.
Is this solely contingent on MPG? Has anyone had similar experiences?
Thanks!

Various factors are used to estimate the distance you may still travel without refilling.
A much more important point: do NOT consistently run the tank to near empty. Doing so is a major factor in fuel pump failures in cars that have the main pump in the tank. The pump is cooled by the fuel around it.

Yes, the car uses your consumption history to factor the range - but a 100 mile range is too much.
It's possible that you're getting variable fill levels. Does the amount of gas in the fill tie out to the previous distance-to-empty (as in, the car said I only had 50 miles left, but it only took13 gallons?
Some early builds had an issue with the fill spout that caused pumps to cut off early. Your dealer should be familiar with the issue, and you'll find multiple threads on the forum if you do a search.

If the car has been used only for short journeys, the range will be considerably lower than if it's been on a few long runs. The fact your range increased after your first few runs indicates that may have been the case with the previous owner. And as others have noted, you may not be filling the tank to a consistent level.

In my case, I have a defective fuel level sender, so it never shows less than 1/2 tank and 200 miles to empty. I ran out of gas on I-90 in MN because of it, but the car died gracefully and coasted to a stop. Following the directions in the owner’s handbook (add fuel, turn on ignition for 5 min before starting engine), it started right up.
My odometer is currently my fuel gauge.

I agree that there are two things in play: Inconsistent filling to what you believe is full, and the trip computer basing miles to empty from recent MPG data. I can read the amount of gallons in the tank from what the gauge says with reasonably accuracy and when I decide to "fill up" as opposed to just adding a few gallons I can do so just short of overflowing. (Which I have done a couple times and is not good for the emissions system)
I have seen the remaining range change several times in the first few miles after a fill up as the computer recalculates based upon current driving conditions. An example would be if you had just done 200 miles of hard high speed driving and averaged 16 MPG and then filled up, hopped on the freeway and set the cruise control to 65. Initially the computer thinks you are going to get 16 MPG with the fresh fuel and after a few miles recalculates a new estimate.

"range" totally disappeared!
2017 Base Premium 6 cyl. coupe, Manual trans... from one day to the next, the 'range'/miles to fill in lower right of center instrument panel disappeared. Car has not been to dealer or any other repair shop. I haven't scrolled through any of the display options... where to begin??
